I have been working at The Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits rich if you are hired at a full time status.

    Cons

Salary tends to be a subjective process. employees hired with similar skills are frequently brought on board at different hiring rates.
Executives make large salaries and have been in these positions for ever, this makes the chance for professional growth slim.

    Advice to Management

The board should become more involved and request 360 interviews of the executives. Practice the philosophy, mission and values. These should not only be words on paper, but rather ideals that are embraced.

    Pros

It was good times to work there because it never interrupted weekends. Very friendly staff and welcoming

    Cons

The cons was the bad payment which was very low and working with screaming kids all the time and handling that

    Advice to Management

Be more organized in campus involvement's and make sure that everyone is working as a team instead of individually.

    Cons

Hours can be long and stress levels can be high.

    Advice to Management

Praise to associates for outstanding work, when warranted, would be nice, regardless of position or title.

    Pros

Staff cares about their work and are engaged, and director of the ec program is committed, enthusiastic, and inspiring. There is also an onsite gym available for use by employees.

    Cons

This is a terrific place to work. Salaries are lower, but again, this is a non-profit institution so this is no surprise.
