I have been working at The Landings Club full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great team members, outstanding benefits package, very kind, respectful members, great chance to use your brains and ideas!

    Cons

We work hard - that's why they call it work! No real cons however...we love what we do and we're treated like business partners, not employees

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

I have been working at The Landings Club part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great staff, wonderful members, good working hours, most staff is hard working and tries to have a good team relationship

    Cons

Management can be great but leaves some things lacking with equality and consistency. Schedules can vary and could be better with more regularity

    Advice to Management

Focus on consistency and being a manager with staff not being their friend and allowing some to have more “slack” than others. Be appreciative of what employees do especially when they are going out of their way. People tend to stop putting in the effort when others get the credit or it seems unappreciated.

    Pros

The benefits, weekly pay, and member interaction is great. Some of the members can be a bit stodgy but most of the membership are just wonderful.

    Cons

Hours can be long and tiresome. Senior management behave in a good old boy's club mentality. It's uncomfortable for female staff working there. Wake up its 2016.

    Advice to Management

Look beyond the operations building and listen to the front line managers and staff working to take care of the members as best they can. Stop defending and protecting certain manager who is notoriously creating hostile relationships with reporting staff. Remove the cancer and you might find the harmony restored in F&B.

I worked at The Landings Club full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The Landings Club is a nice place to work especially if you are in school. They pay you once a week and you get two free employee meals a day (which saves you a lot of money). The members are mostly pretty nice people and its a great place to network because a lot of the people who live there are successful so they can give you some good insight on subjects. They have scholarship opportunities for employees. During the holidays the members show their appreciation which is always a plus.

    Cons

There is no real room for promotions, so it serves a great stepping stone (statement differs depending on the job) They don't allow you to use some of the facilities unless its late or really early.

    Advice to Management

You could use some entertainment for your younger members and it wouldn't be a bad thing to get some people of color in some positions of power. (Diversity never hurt anyone)

I have been working at The Landings Club full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is a lot of money to be made by hourly employees.Benefits are above average. It's a beautiful environment. A lot of the members will treat employees like family.

    Cons

Hours are long. Salary employees are expected to be available at all times. Some members treat employees like the hired help.

  10. "Fitness Technician"

    Pros

Good people to work with, free use of fitness center, free golf, and free meals.

    Cons

Poor management, some members are rude, no room to advance, and pay is not spectacular.

    Advice to Management

Be in the best interest of the employees and they will be in the best interest of you and the club.
