I worked at The Learning Experience full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The younger teachers that worked here at the West Chester branch were extremely knowledgeable and had great connections with the children and parents.

    Cons

Management is completely unprofessional, they treat their staff horribly! The husband owner has terrible anger problems and will yell loudly not caring who here's him at both his wife and his staff. They do not follow their own rules when it comes to problems involving the children such as fighting or biting. They are extremely stingy and money hungry. There are days where the children get barely enough food because not enough food was bought ahead of time. They register more kids then they can fit into the school. The ratios are never kept in the classroom and kids are thrown into different age rooms almost everyday to the point parents complain when they come to pick up their children they don't always know where they are. They will trick you into thinking this is a great job and family company but once your 3 month grace period is up they treat you like everyone else.

    Advice to Management

    Honestly need new managment

I worked at The Learning Experience full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    There are none, highly volatile.

    Cons

    The corporation is severely corrupt.

    Advice to Management

This corporation is predatory. They do not provide what they state and do not want franchise owner’s to succeed. The turn over of director’s and regional managers is beyond belief due to corporate does not allow these individuals to follow law and regulations. Do not buy a franchise and avoid working for this corporation. It is highly volatile and corrupt. They don’t care about the kids or their own philosophies. It is all about the money and the children are cattle. Mismanagement, unethical, and corrupt to the core. They pay big money to keep their bad press a secret. If you buy into a franchise like so many others corporate will create your failure and take the child care in the end at your own loss. Heed my warning, this place is not good. If anything it is pure evil. The curriculum is not developmentally appropriate and is of the cookie cutter design. Do not send your child here, do not work here, do not buy into the lies and deception of this corporation. I wish you all had the first hand experience as I do. Steer clear, this corporation is hell on Earth.

I have been working at The Learning Experience full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Interacting with the children and watching them grow is the best part about the job. I also enjoy working alongside my co-workers.

    Cons

Management is terrible... they play favorites with those who have been there longer, and they seriously underpay all their workers. I am a college graduate with 6+ years of childcare experience and they offered me $10.75 / hour, compared to a friend of mine with no prior childcare experience and no college degree at $11.

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone the same, and pay based on experience and qualifications.
