    Pros

Poor management super visors are bullies, I was there 10 yrs, last 3 was a nightmare. New Business needs a super visor that cares about people on her level.Alot of employees doing nothing and others work very hard, company should clean house.

    Cons

Company could stay in good standing with new management.

    Advice to Management

New Business needs another supervisor, the one that is their now is Ignorant and a bully.

    Pros

Casual Dress. Decent location. Easy going job. Comfortable work environment. Slight opportunities for SEC licensing. They try to make the culture inviting, which was nice. Good PTO (about 20+ days per year). Decent health Coverage
EE cost is about $115 a month
401k match, dental and vision optional.

    Open door policy from management
Long EE tenure (Average is 10+ years)
Most managers have been there for a long time, knowing the job well.
High level of commitment to advisors.
High level of commitment to clients.
    Employees are friendly

    Cons

Not as much commitment to employees; "Every man for themselves"
Very clicky management. Difficult to be recognized or to be promoted. Senior mgmt lacks the confidence to get rid of "old school way of thinking with old players"
Compliance Departments lack direction, follow through and most importantly leadership. This has a trickle-down effect throughout the entire organization. Senior management lacks the need/desire to get a handle of the "rude" managers, thus allowing the behavior to continue.

    Advice to Management

You have a good company with a good support system, while history is important, dont let it be the only factor depicting the future. Recognize key staff. Recognize what people are good at and let them thrive.
Remove "bad apples" Being a supervisor/manager, does not mean you're a good leader.
    Fix the non-leaders.
Simply remove them from those leadership roles. (They dont have to be fired)
Promote from within. Stop looking outside for talent. Pay employees what they're worth. Not just the bare minimum.
Take chances on key staff and they'll work harder for you, advisors, and clients than you could imagine (you just need to give them a chance)
Mutual respect and opportunity for advancement shouldn't have to take 20+ years to be earned...
It should be based solely on work ethic.
Rudeness, coldness, and clicks should be left in high school.

I worked at The Legend Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The employees are wonderful people who are hard workers and care about the advisors and clients they work with.

    Cons

Very political environment with a lot of leadership that has been there for 20+ years and never worked any where else. They are stuck in their old business practices and assume that just because they have been running the firm a certain way, it must be the right way. This makes it difficult to grow the company.

    Advice to Management

Shave off the top layer of drama-inducing executives and hire true leaders who will actually exhibit the values of trust and family that the company claims to have.

I worked at The Legend Group full-time

    Pros

Fantastic benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401k.

Good people working at the lower levels in the company.

The general culture of the company is an easy one to work it.

    Cons

The company is becoming less of an investment management shop and more of a sales driven organization. Even at the internal level and all the way up to the C-suite positions, investment research (due diligence) for clients in the company's managed portfolios was unimportant.

CIO is typically at sales conferences, leaving the investment management department with no guidance and "flying blind."

    Advice to Management

Get out of RCS Capital's corporate umbrella. RCS is known for their unethical dealings in the past (which may or may not have affected Legend's business), and nobody wants that to hurt Legend's longstanding reputation.

Also, your employees are all fearful of losing their jobs.

I have been working at The Legend Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Almost complete freedom to run your business as you see fit. This also means that you will be on your own to re-create the wheel if you do not already have a great process. The technology is not antiquated but it is definitely not up to the standard that would be considered adequate at this point in time.

    Cons

The support is disjointed at best. There is a lot of promising to deliver x, y or z but not much follow up. I am sad to say I felt essentially abandoned within 2 months of coming aboard.

    Advice to Management

Know about and be clear about what is actually available and have a clear on boarding structure for new advisors. Hire the right candidates based on a clear understanding of what they are getting into.

I have been working at The Legend Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There is a lot of potential to make a good living and possibly develop financial independence. Also it is a very notable brand.

    Cons

Very hard to get started to develop your own book of business. The market for financial advising is highly saturated.

    Advice to Management

Should give clients to starting financial advisers that the managing financial adviser cannot service.
