I have been working at The Linde Group full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great managers and co-workers, work / life balance needs to be worked on

    Cons

Merger / Buyout, and a lot of layoffs in the past couple of months. Wish they would let us know what the future holds

I worked at The Linde Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very talented engineering, marketing, and sales resources. (However, stuck in a very poor system). Some very good technical resources from corporate in Munich.

    Cons

Very poor work/life balance continued because management refused to help correct. Inconsistent application of company policy depending on who you were. Specifically, an automaton for a manager, never defended his team, the consummate yes man. New management arrogance. Ridiculous attempts to charge technology fees for very little customer value added. Generic "value added" tech, but didn't know it or refused to acknowledge it. Field service teams overworked and spread thin due to not replacing resources, creating customer ire. Legacy systems disorganized, outdated. even after almost a ten year period since acquisition of BOC are still in place.

    Advice to Management

Staid, wooden, disconnected upper management. Please look at and solicit input from MID's. The retention rate of these resources is very telling in what is wrong. You've got a problem.

    Pros

There is no pro working for this company. They are handling the merger terribly and most of the American employees are trying to escape this company. This company & management has moved slowly down hill since being purchased from BOC.

    Cons

In 2015 management started the silent purge of all former Airco/BOC employees. It was the beginning of the end of a very, very good company. Safety, customers & employees all became expendable and the BIG dollar took over. Managers were driven by the top to turn into excellent lies. I understand restructure ... management handled it poorly and has caused damage to the drive of employees in the field. Field people drive the company. Stay away from Linde .. they are truly a modern day loser!!

    Advice to Management

Management & HR you need to step back and look at the BIG picture again. But hopefully, it's too late for all of you (management) ..... take over .... will save the slow death of all the US employees

I have been working at The Linde Group (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I have worked for Lincare for three years. It's not the worst job in the world. You have opportunity for advancement and a steady paycheck.

    Cons

The company does not pay its employees what they should be paid. You feel under appreciated and it seems the little bit of benefits you do have change or slowly just go away.

    Advice to Management

    None.

    Pros

Excellent training for new hires regarding critical bulk delivery

    Cons

Usually odd shifts for junior employees since this is a union.

    Advice to Management

None to offer yet. New hire training seems very good so far.

I have been working at The Linde Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Steady paycheck, if your in with the right person, persons.

    Cons

Management is remedial at best, dishonest, lies directly to your face, is a union facility but does NOT honor the contract, management plays favorites with personnel. Micromanaged beyond belief, stay as far away from here as possible. Also Management recieves ridiculous bonuses for doing less than no work, yet we while doing our jobs as well as managements in many cases get NOTHING . Not even a thank you.

    Advice to Management

Beyond repair unable to even offer possible resoutions other than complete removal and replacement of entire management staff.

    Advice to Management

Stop micromanaging, invest in your plant and people.

I have been working at The Linde Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible, training off site that helps you obtain better career opportunities. Pros to working here are very minimal.

    Cons

No company car or car allowance, you only get paid for milage which is lower than the national average. You don't even get a monthly allowance for wear and tear on your own personal vehicle. Most sales positions allow and are set up for a bonus structure...welcome to Lincare...that doesn't happen here. Sales reps have zero chances for bonus but your management does and they prosper off of your hard work. It is uncapped commission however you are better off working at Target where you are treated with respect and dignity. Upper management does not support you and if you like an environment where you are constantly being thrown under the bus gladly join your local Lincare team. Expectations are ridiculous and not even achievable. During the interview process they will tell you what you want to hear, such as Lincare promotes within and your chances for promotion are high. That is a boldface lie. If you care about people and patients run far away because at Lincare its just about the bottom almighty dollar $$. If you want your loved one taken care of and would like them to be a patient versus a number don't choose to send them our way. Unfortunately the bad outweighs the good with our company. Actively seeking new employment.
