I have been working at The Liro Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great experience for career skill development and learning for those whom don't understand construction methods.

The company has the ability to develop skillset with courses and classes.

The opportunity to work with other agencies and experienced players in the business is grand.

From observations, years of experience is highly recognized whether or not you have the ability to use software. Newcomers are welcomed.

Office Engineer 'Secretarial' title is full of learning advantages for those unfamiliar with spec drawings and contract requirements. (not a position recommended for engineering majors).

Full-Time position include 401K, Paid-Time Leave, etc. Paid Time can be paid-off at the end of the year or if terminated.

Opportunities can arrise with the right experience and networking is simple.

    Cons

Entry level employees are moved around too often, routines change every 3 - 9 months which makes it difficult to establish a sound routine.

    Added responsibilities are verbally directed.

Emails have a limited space often 1GB.

PM's aren't always experienced in their roles.

Standards change, and there's no room for change of how methods are adjusted to fit the new standards.

    Jobs are often generalized.

The role is limited to following directive.

No recycling bins in the field.

Hard copies of the submittals are too often missed placed or removed from the office for special inspections.

Computers do not always have compatible software.

Overtime requires PM & client approval.

    Advice to Management

Employee Title Handbook Tool(s) are necessary so that every title can and would have a direct set of responsibilities written and documented in detail at the time of hire to avoid new entry employee confusion. Any "special requests" outside or beyond the title should be in writing or emailed for documentation, verbal directives should not apply because, it's not on record.
