    Cons

Managers speak badly about employees left.
    People blame each other.
Responsibilities are not clear i.e. who does what, who is supposed to do this is a common question even for people who have been here longer
Have lots of Silos and Silo groups here
Few Lazy people and few inexperienced lads
Not so agile in working and late deliveries
Do not hire proper performance testers but depend on novice to do so without proper training.

I worked at The Logic Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good to learn new skills and gain hands-on work experience

    Cons

Fewer growth opportunities within the company

    Advice to Management

    Look at the Bigger Picture.

I have been working at The Logic Group full-time

    Pros

Good engineers. Good work life balance.

    Cons

Unprofessional approach to software development. Bad management - lower management are indecisive and poorly skilled. They lack direction and are more of a hinderance than a help. Barclays will absorb the good people and make the rest redundant in the long term i expect.

    Advice to Management

Take closer look at the people running the teams

I worked at The Logic Group full-time

    Pros

Good transport links (M3 and main line train station to London)
Interesting and advanced payment tehnology will look good on your CV
Green field site right next to Fleet pond nature reserve

    Cons

Slow to adopt and/or embed best practice.
Legacy products, old clients and technology holding back growth.
Incumbent senior management stuck in the 1980's and refuse to move with the times.

    Advice to Management

Decide on a strategy and stick to it. Cut out "dead wood" employees who can't or won't change and have fixed mindset. Embrace new ways of working.

    Pros

Supportive culture when it came to client engagement, good people to work with, very receptive to making product changes driven by clients.

    Cons

Felt like it was stuck in the 1980's, Needed more focus on innovation to remain competitive in the market and a relaxed atmosphere around the office. Very IT Security led sale rather than business led, which resulted in it being a commodity based sale.

    Advice to Management

Be more innovative, strive to create something new that someone in the business side of a merchant can't live without, perhaps even a B2C proposition.

Improve the testing process's and deliver quality code first time.

Get everyone in the business to have the same shared vision of driving excellence and get developers involved in the product management process, these guys work on it day in day out, they can help come up with great ideas.

Improve mobile eCommerce and web proposition.

Improve on-boarding until the point it is a self service on-boarding process,

    Create a local acquiring proposition.

I have been working at The Logic Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working with some great people who really understand this industry
Company is highly respected within the payments industry
Gives you a good work/life balance.
Relaxed dress code - if you work in development or support.
Excellent benefits package - very generous in this respect

    Cons

The CEO/Chairman needs to be less conservative
Investment is needed in the development teams
need to stop reacting to clients who shout loudest and treat all customers equally
Location - not the greatest but it's close the station and parking is plentiful.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in more development
    Employ more in consultancy
Listen to those who have come in recently. You have some real talent that is not used properly. The company just carries on doing things the same way when there are better ways to achieve the same goal.

I worked at The Logic Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

At senior level pays Blue chip salaries, some very good individuals. A fair amount of autonomy in most roles. A good social scene, but often at the expense of getting the job done. Oh, they also have some fantastic job titles, unfortunately this means very little in the wider world.

    Cons

Fallen way behind on the product front, doesn't have the financial backing of most of its peers, a CEO who lives in 1997 and a senior management team who think a good idea is only good if its their idea. Redundancies a plenty over the last 30 months at all levels.

You could be the next Richard Branson, but if you aren't in the inner circle no one will ever listen to you. You could be Lionel Messi, but they will still treat you like Luther Blisset.

    Advice to Management

Restructuring had to come and the company is better for it. However in some cases certain employees were treated shamefully. The message around redundancies wasn't very clear, everyone knew it had to come but the senior management royally screwed it up.
Its clear the company isn't very good with talent, it tends to side with employees who don't want change and are "safe", that's great but by design don't be surprised when you don't hit the levels of success you wish for.

  8. "Strong technology and people assets but unclear vision or direction"

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

A top tier customers base, technology development and good people

    Cons

Since previous CEO left the vision and direction has become unclear and appears to live in the past while the new market opportunities are being grabbed by new competitors

    Advice to Management

Look at the new market reality today
