I have been working at The Logistics Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, great hours, the employees are ok. Relaxed environment but enough work to keep busy.

    Cons

Constant changes in pay/vacation. Lack of Human Resources. Small man at TMP always staring at me when I come by.

    Advice to Management

Get payroll and PTO/Vacation situated, we shouldn't have to continue to adjust our lifestyle based on the changes of your needs.

I worked at The Logistics Company full-time

    Pros

Mid-level staff great to work with. Project personnel extremely qualified and supportive of the contracts and customer commitments. Support equipment up to date.

    Cons

No room for advancement or leadership options. Numerous layoffs during the time I was with the company. Left many of the employees unsure of their future. Training at a minimum.

    Advice to Management

Take advantage of the experience within the company. Support a long term training program for employees so they can progress for future positions.

    Pros

Great co-workers who are very knowledgeable. A friendly environment where you can network.

    Cons

Jobs are temporary. There are periodic layoffs. Most of the management are not qualified or lack suitable training. Entry level staff are expected to complete managerial tasks and receive no recognition for it.

    Advice to Management

Ensure that lower management is qualified. Provide opportunities for career advancement.

    Pros

Learning opportunity. Good place to learn the basics and methods of property management. I reccomend taking what you can from any job as this is one. It is small enought to get to know everyone but large enough to know most everything you need to know.

    Cons

Limited growth potential- senior management stays put leaving few positions to fill other than lower ranked titles. Lack of uniformity in terms of policies- there seems to be disagreements between senior managers as to changes or adaptations to policies as market trends appear to head. Constant tedious paperwork that has to be physically (via mail courier or fax) sent to each department head and then somehow papers still get lost.

    Advice to Management

Need to communicate and agree on issues that effect the whole. Accept the technology and realize that the technology is not only the way of the future (and present) and also a great cost-cutting tool.

    Pros

    Good Pay, Benefits, Good Co-workers

    Cons

Poor Management, Minimal management available, No compensation for working on holidays

    Advice to Management

Upper management should be more upfront with new hires about job status (i.e. Full-time, Surge, etc.)
