I have been working at The Mosaic Company full-time

    Pros

-Florida management team is doing a good job. -Company has become more progressive in work life balance. Specifically in thinking of alternative methods to work and additional benefits such as parental leave. This serves to attract and retain top talent; especially millennials who want families. - Vice President recently let go of his best performing plant manager. Although the plant manager was top notch in knowledge, he was coercive and would belittle employees. It was awful trying to work with him. People at his site began to act like him because they thought following his lead would lead to success or simply to avoid being trampled by him. If you didn’t agree with him than you were an idiot. It was awful and it took way too long to remove him. However, letting him go sent a clear message to business in that Mosaic upper management is putting value and integrity over profits. Most, not all, people at his site seemed to become better team players. Mosaic will be better off as a result of this action. - Impressive technical staff. - Overall a friendly culture of people who care about each other

    Cons

    - Slow to adapt to technology. Mosaic doesn’t seem to place resources toward driving this harder. Need folks who know how to deploy to drive this - Development plans are quite pointless - Another reorg is looming. This will make 3 reorganizations in 5 years! This part of the business is simply frustrating as I’ve had 5 managers in 3 years.
