    Cons

Terrible Pay, Biased as to whether you are a man or woman, no movement in the hierarchy. No voice, no one listens to you.

    Advice to Management

You should appreciate what you have. Reward the ones you work with, not the ones you are hiring off the street.

I worked at The Nature's Bounty Co. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is literally the only positive piece to working here.

    Cons

Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time working for the Consumer Affairs Dept. They promise you the world and the reality is, you’re stuck for a few years in that building working under less than ok conditions.

The management is very poor. They are rude and have very little respect for employees particularly in the consumer affairs department. The training is a wreck and you’re not set-up to succeed. They will simply apologize for “throwing you in right away”. You’re basically forced answer phones endlessly like a bot! If you take a break and they see you’re unavailable they’ll tell you to get back on the phones. They’re also very unwelcoming since the turnover is so high.

The buildings are old, smelly and dingy. When it rains, it smells like a dirty wet dog because the carpets are THAT old. The A/C wouldn’t stay on some days and it would get around 85 degrees inside. There isn’t anywhere to eat lunch outside on a summer day or take a break for that matter. The desks are old and the draws clink together. IT is outsourced in India and every time you have an issue you’re out 30-40 mins trying to work with them remotely.

There is poor planning when it comes to scheduling and everything is done last minute. When it comes to communication, there isn’t any in the consumer affairs department. Little attention is brought to them since they’re in No Mans Land, building 110.

There’s ZERO vacation days to work with for a year... especially in this department you would think they’d be flexible with scheduling.... not.

    Advice to Management

Change your attitude or you will continue to have people change departments or quit! Very inept of running a successful department. A $2.00 raise couldn’t make anyone stay in those working conditions. Complete misery with the role, the office environment and management. My advice for the company: look a little closer as to what exactly is going on in building 110, because the turnover is high and it’s because of who you have running it.

Start out at a decent wage.

    Cons

Double standards,,nepotism, and favoritism runs rampant.

I worked at The Nature's Bounty Co. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

nice array of products and the our side agencies are doing a great job promoting them

    Cons

Culture is nasty and unnecessarily combative. no team work... those people in the other departments are considered your enemy and management sees to be ok with that. Best thing that could happen? have unilever or J & J buy the brands and get rid of this adversarial mess.

    Advice to Management

    sell sell sell
