I have been working at The Nature's Bounty Co. full-time

    Pros

Flexible if seeking Long Island position. Offers many perks - concierege service, discounts with many vendors and WorkPerks, health and fitness on premises, casual dress.

    Cons

No real succession, development and advancement opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Improve effective training for those in management positions.

I worked at The Nature's Bounty Co. full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Excellent benefits, bonuses, annual reviews, company events, and a warm family cultural enviornment

    Cons

Because I was reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, there was no opportunity to promote me as an Executive Assistant. My former boss would have to be promoted to a Vice President of Manufacturing in order for me to be promoted.

I worked at The Nature's Bounty Co. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    long island location
the junior working team is good

    Cons

i was terminated few months after i was made associate of the month. i am convinced that this had nothing to do with my performance and everything to do with the new leadership who holds grudges against people and came at me for her personal reasons. there were a few others in the same boat. be careful.
this is not the place for ecommerce career because their technology is terribly outdated. and so are their facilities and building.
there is no career path or growth opportunity

    Advice to Management

hire new management that actually knows what leadership means.
    get a new tech team

I worked at The Nature's Bounty Co. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Brands are the only thing of note

    Cons

staff consists of angry and hostile survivors of past consolidations. no processes to speak of, managers attacking each other. pretty hokey company with big brands that people struggle to manage. they get by because they use outside ad agencys

    Advice to Management

look are structures of J & J or Unilever and hire those kinds of people. what the heck does coca cola have to do with vitamins? wake up? Ever wonder why people from long Island aren't filling the high profile positions? you have a lousy rep and people don't want to work at NBTY
