I have been working at The Nature's Bounty Co. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

ideas are welcome. Depending your manager communication comes easily. The whole warehouse works as a family. This department itself has procedures easy to follow.

    Cons

Sometimes communication is lacked or broken at times it isn't very consistent. Usually one might feel too much work is being placed on certain individuals due to their knowledge of the job. others feel that they should only do the job assigned so sometimes not everyone is a team player. There is a lot of change occurring to quickly that it doesn't quite get communicated as well to the rest of the team

    Advice to Management

Communication needs more work and language barriers needs to be worked on. When it comes to training please assure there is a verbal and hands on part as many may sign saying they understand but reality many are unsure of what was said.

I worked at The Nature's Bounty Co. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They are a good group of people who do not put too much pressure on their employees. Decent benefits and good management.

    Cons

There is not a lot of upward mobility. The yearly bonus is pretty low. Raises are hard to get.

    Advice to Management

Work on the company culture. I worked with too many people who not only didn't use your vitamins, but didn't "believe" in their efficacy at all.

    Cons

The company itself just seems like a mess sometimes

    Advice to Management

    Give your interns meaningful projects

I worked at The Nature's Bounty Co. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great employee perks. (The Good)

    Cons

Company's future seams bleak, management lacks training, high level of nepotism, lacks consistency, confusing directions, no formal structure, low pay, unfair practices. (The Bad) Some employees are treated like "slaves"; often reminded of their wrongs and not praised for what they do right. (The ugly)

    Advice to Management

Train the managers and supervisors so that their actions mirror the company's overall culture and won't lead to legal ramifications. Also, when employees feel valued it will lead to quality work and increased enthusiasm for the company on a whole.

I have been working at The Nature's Bounty Co. full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Pros.... Well, it USED to be a good company to work for. Now, not so much. I would have gladly recommended working here...... 10 years ago.

    Cons

Where do I start? The Carlyle Group took a decent company, and like most Corporate "Pirates", they have been pillaging the company for all it's worth. If they can't wring a profit out of it (at the expense of employees) then they will rip it apart and sell off the pieces. They claim to be a heath conscious company, but there is no such thing as work/life balance. The upper management has no clue what it takes to actually run things at the ground level, and all their so-called improvements end up making it actually more difficult to accomplish a days' work.
I could go on, but I'd rather go polish my resume so I can get the Hell out of this place as soon as possible. Why else would I be on a job hunting website?

    Advice to Management

Advice is pointless. If they want your opinion, they will give it to you.

I have been working at The Nature's Bounty Co. full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Manufacturing is taken seriously. Departments other than IT may be OK.

    Cons

This company is going down, slowly but surely. It's like watching a slow motion train wreck.

Profit sharing was missed again this year, 3 years out of the last 5. Bonuses are tiny and were also missed for 2 years out of the last 5. Employee morale is in the toilet - and management is absolutely clueless how to deal with it.

Staffing is so thin in the IT department people are quitting and systems are in serious trouble. Yet empty positions are not filled - the work is just "spread" among the poor fools that remain.

IT Staff is stressed beyond belief. The CIO and "leadership" run clique popularity contests and consistently reward the best brown-nosers and are completely unable and ineffective at most everything.

The HR department is using leading edge policies - from the 1950's.

    Advice to Management

Use the "George Costanza" method and do the opposite of whatever you decide, it would work out better.

I have been working at The Nature's Bounty Co. full-time

    Pros

Good holiday time off, benefits are good yet very expensive.

    Cons

Low pay, not much room to move up, horrile raises (got 25 cents 3 years in a row), mandatory overtime on weekends, bad management, don't care about employees, old machines, bad training for new roles or new employees and much more

    Advice to Management

The management should actually work the floor and not sit behind a desk 24/7. That way they can see real issues and fix them and not ignore them for months or years. Actually listen to the workers and maybe they'll work harder.
