    Pros

Great company to work for. They really value the opinions of all there associates. Way more pros then cons working here.

    Cons

Too many meetings, Need to focus on getting orders out and not how the meetings are ran. HPS

    Advice to Management

Lets find ways to be more productive and efficient and stop focusing on HPS and how the DDS meetings are ran. Shipping orders is why we have a job.

    Pros

Flexible schedule. You are your own boss and you are responsible for selling, building , and managing a territory.

    Cons

    Hard to hit commission goals

    Advice to Management

Every territory needs to be treated differently not the same

I worked at The Nature's Bounty Co. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

great brands ; the outside agencies that do the heavy lifting.

    Cons

nasty people that don't work together to reach a common goal. each team has it's own workflow and software that has no interaction with other teams. and the as400 database? green screen technology. so many people work from home that nothing gets done.

    Advice to Management

people are unhappy and don't talk to each other. there is no respect and you need to raise the bar with your hires as well as the hostile underachieving old timers

    Pros

Good people with a lot of heart. They want to see the company succeed.

    Cons

Overall lack of investment into the brands. Slow to market. Behind the times.

    Advice to Management

To win in the market filled with a lot of start-up competition, you can't always focus on volume sales at Costco.

I have been working at The Nature's Bounty Co. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Laid back environment for the most part, medical and dental are pretty decent.

    Cons

Unstable, layoffs happen constantly and upper management changes almost yearly (3 CEOs in the 4 years I've been here). Bare minimum benefits. Salary starts low and increases, if they happen, are pennies at a time. Profits are supposedly good this year, but no raises or bonuses. They promise to promote from within but outside applicants always get positions. Nowhere to advance. "Wellness" company makes you run for timeclock and punishes you for taking the little sick time you get. Don't clock in early or you'll get "spoken to" about overtime they won't pay. They love to "motivate" by telling you they can replace you. Work is slow, future looks iffy. Associates are unappreciated and treated as disposable. NO perks unless you work at headquarters. Strong vibe that management doesn't care about you.

    Advice to Management

Learn to value your employees, pay competitive wages. Offer perks and rewards. Learn the definition of "MORALE". Miserable employees aren't effective employees. Underpaid employees leave. STOP MICROMANAGING and keep your eye on the important things.
