I worked at The ONE Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Really great people. A night life atmosphere, events don’t need to stay depending on your location. Each property runs itself. As events I had a call with Nyc once a week. Compiled a simple and standard report. I felt like people care about you here and they are fair and flexable

    Cons

None. Really everything just works. Good people. Good balance.

I worked at The ONE Group full-time

    Pros

As in any restaurant industry, there was a discount on food. Literally the only pro there is.

    Cons

Where to I begin? Within 48 hours of working for the company, I was sexually harassed, threatened, yelled at, treated like a slave, and then told I wasn’t a fit for the company. I had no formal training but spend 5 days as a shadow with some 23 year olds. It was an easy decision to leave and I look back at my experience with the One Group as the worst year of my life.

    Advice to Management

Choose better leaders and managers. You’ve set the example of what a toxic work environment looks like and my only regret is that I was ever part of the company.

    Pros

There is nothing that is positive about The One Group (STK).

    Cons

There is no proper training, the hours are extremely long, there is "NO QUALITY OF LIFE", they have 100% management turnover. The longest tenure for a manager at any level is about 1 year. No room for growth and management is continually under staffed which equates to ridiculous hours (75-80hrs minimum weekly).

    Advice to Management

Any advice falls on deaf ears.

    Pros

The hourly staff are put through the ringer by managers and corporate execs who don't know what they are doing or how to steer the ship, but they are loyal to each-other and to the guests. Without the tireless, hard-working hourly FOH and BOH staff, this company would have been dead in the water a loooong time ago.

    Cons

Very disorganized company to work for. They don't seem to know what they are doing operationally to make the job manageable. The corporate office seems to have a rotating door of executives and the company culture is lacking and undisciplined.

    Pros

Time goes by fast. Always something to do. Nice work environment. Cool coworkers. Flexible with other jobs/ school schedules.

    Cons

Low pay for a lot of work. There are people who are over qualified for the position yet the starting pay is the same for everyone.

    Advice to Management

If you pay your employees more than maybe the turn over rate would not be as high as it is.

    Pros

Great Enviorment to work in. The One Group holds a high reputation for customer service. Everyone from the general manager at each location from food runners have a positive attitude

    Cons

A disconnect between the coporate enviorment and the resturant staff at certain resturants

    Advice to Management

Working with individuals who are overly qualified and who also know how to have a good time is a great balanace for this establishment
