I have been working at The Ohio State University part-time

    Pros

    Great co-workers and friends
Get to see a lot of cool and interesting things

    Cons

Management is not on the same page. They all say different things about the same issue. There is no clear and concise decision. They do not operate as a well oiled machine and look down upon the student staff. They feel that because they are on salary, they are better than everyone else.

    Advice to Management

Work together and treat student employees with respect. Especially the female staff.

I worked at The Ohio State University full-time

    Pros

Very experienced and skilled senior leadership.
Competitive salary even though it was a public university.
    Excellent health and other benefits.

    Cons

Sometimes the workplace could get a little slow paced as compared to a corporate.
The office spaces weren't great. Don't expect swanky conference rooms, and suites in a multi storied skyscrapers.
    Parking was not free.

    Advice to Management

The management is doing the best they can with what they have. I would suggest hiring more interns from the college itself in order to bring in fresh young talent.

    Mind numbingly easy job.

    Cons

Management does not care about you.
People dont know what they are doing.
    Unorganized.
    Click mentality.
    Rude.
Everyone is unhappy all the time.
    Not a positive work environement.

    Advice to Management

When you ask an employee how they are actually listen. Treat people like humans not machines. Dont create a chaotic work environment. If youre stressed so is everyone else.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at The Ohio State University full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great people and comfortable work environment. They are always looking to improve and they usually promote internally, so there are plenty of chances to move up if you stick around.

    Cons

Certain departments cannot pay well and are understaffed. This can make simple jobs difficult to accomplish, and many entry level jobs are not at competitive wages.
