I worked at The Outsource Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay scale is above average for the area.

50 cents raise at 6 and 12 month mark.

    Annual raise.

    A great learning experience.

That is it and that is all.

    Cons

    Highschool lunch room environment.

    Managers are childhood friends.

    No leadership.

The company is not proficient in the service they provide.

Managers don't know how to do the work.

Employees are being watched like pre-schoolers.

Environment breeds jealousy due to the managers picking "favorites".

    No real TEAM.

I can't believe this company is still in business.

Managers (seasoned) resigned with NO NOTICE!

Employees quit on a daily basis.

    Advice to Management

    GROW UP!

    Pros

Great pay, plus commission. You only work monday-friday and two saturdays out of every month that you choose. Based on tenure of course.

    Cons

Collecting debt is never easy. Can be boring at times when the call system goes down. Some days drag on more than others.

    Advice to Management

Continue to remain in touch with employees. Stay up to date with system upgrades as so not to hinder the production/collection activities of employees.

I worked at The Outsource Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

FYI, not necessarily a pro but they were purchased by Parallon. They are currently known as The Outsource Group, A Parallon Company, and will soon just be Parallon.
-Decent pay if you do well (base pay is mediocre, need to surpass monthly quota to earn commission in)
-Some might say it provides good work/life experience

    Cons

-Managements treatment of employees, inability to communicate effectively.
    -Upper management & HR unreachable/unapproachable
    -Little room for personal growth
    -Mediocre/poor health benefits
-Time-off policy: Uses PTO (Paid Time Off), which must be used for all holidays and sick days.
-Poor work-life balance due to slow accrual of PTO unless you've been there many years.

    Advice to Management

-Listen to the suggestions/concerns in the annual Employee Survey
-Need upper management to keep middle management better in check
-Show that you appreciate your employees not with shallow statements, but by taking action by for example improving benefits including vacation time and health insurance.
-Implement a better break-time system, such as cycling breaks and using the 80/20 rule (such as 10 minute mandatory break every hour) to reduce employee turnover due to burnt out reps.

I have been working at The Outsource Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The office staff was great! Unfortunately, the executive management team was poor in their abilities to effectively manage the staff.

    Cons

High turnover, inadequate training, and the place was ruled by nepotism and cronyism. There no room for advancement unless you were related to the executive management team or if you were a college buddy or lifelong friends.

    Advice to Management

I advise would be to stop terrorizing the staff with threat of termination looming over their heads. Educate yourselves in Effective Management skills to ensure you retain quality staff.

I worked at The Outsource Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Most of the staff were nice

    Cons

Several managers didn't know what they were doing. The Director was good but always busy. Office is on it's own, no support from corporate.

    Advice to Management

Make sure managers know what they are doing.

    Pros

You get a paycheck and there are Tvs on the production floor that playa CNN allday and its a job that is a job :/

    Cons

Management is horrible. Management knows nothing. They prefer quantity over quality. No body knows rules including yourboss. The way the floor is set it makes ppl feel like they r in prison. Workers on the floor and any body over workers (leads and managers) sit higher up as if they r better than the workers. They are looking down on workers as if they R better and this is how they act also.

    Advice to Management

Get management training and treat workers better.
