    WORST BOSSES EVER!!!!

    Pros

Absolutely nothing good about this company!!!!

    Cons

If I could I'd give zero stars!!! I worked for this company and they were the worst people ever to work for. They wanted me to put out the lowest quality work EVER, which is work I refused to have my name on at the end of the day!!! The owners of the company have never done a drywall repair in their lives and yet they want to tell people like myself, who has been doing it for almost 20 years, how to put mud on walls. I quit working for them after 3 weeks of getting treated terrible and then they shorted me hundreds of dollars of overtime pay which when I reported them to the Tennessee Department of Labor they chose to ignore their demands to pay me what was owed me. So I ended up taking them to court where they lied and brought in forged documents, which they got caught at. Then they lied and told the court that they gave me all kinds of hats and shirts that they never gave me that added up to be hundreds of dollars and got that deducted from what they owed me (which if they really gave me that stuff they would have deducted it from my final paycheck and not waited until I took them to court to drum up all this fake stuff). And I'm not the first employee they've screwed over on not paying either....I guess if you quit on immature, unexperienced, unprofessional, poor business owners you get a bad wrath of retaliation from them!!! BEWARE OF THE PATCH BOYS IN THE NASHVILLE AREA!!! They have burned a lot of bridges with a lot of people in the short amount of time that they have been in business here and they really don't produce quality work. For them it's quantity over quality. There are much better people out there then The Patch Boys. If you want it done right call someone who actually knows what they're doing and has actually done drywall work before....these people over charge for poor quality work and have no clue how to run a business. Not to mention they are the most underhanded dishonest people you'll ever meet. They will turn on you in a heartbeat....they are young and immature and it shows in how they treat people when they want something and don't get their way.

    Stay away!!!

    Pros

I got nothin' here....worse job ever and I was embarrassed to have my name attached to the few jobs I had to do.

    Cons

As a former employee of The Patch Boys I would NEVER recommend these people to anyone!!! I had to quit their company after two weeks because I didn't want my name on the work they wanted me putting out for them. The owner has no experience whatsoever in drywall and tries to tell experienced people like myself how he wants drywall jobs done and in a quick and unprofessional manner that my conscience would not allow me to perform. There are certain standards that need to be met and a certain protocol required to provide quality drywall work and that cannot be done in a one day visit on most drywall jobs. And I personally will not put my name on any work that is ordered to be done in a fashion that does not meet those high standards that I know are required to do quality work. I have more pride in my work than that and unfortunately The Patch Boys are all about getting things done as quickly as possible, their main goal is to get as many jobs done in as little time as possible. I personally will not produce that poor quality of work that The Patch Boys insist on rushing their employees through on a regular basis just to get higher quantities of jobs in a smaller amount of time. And The Patch Boys also require their employees to get rid of all the garbage accumulated on their jobs, which is the most absurd thing ever asked that should never be expected of an employee.....even after I have personally asked them to pick up garbage from their jobs they have still left me with that garbage to dispose of on my own. The owner, Jacob Kromhout has even suggested that I throw it into other construction company's dumpsters that I can randomly find on my own like some of his other workers do, which I would never do because that is actually illegal, not to mention an unprofessional suggestion to even make in the first place. They also expect their employees to pickup and supply all the jobs with the appropriate supplies needed to complete the jobs. I have been told that I was supposed to get sheetrock to a job...not asked, TOLD!!! And that is after I was hired as a drywall taper, something I made clear when I came on board with The Patch Boys and specifically told them that I do not hang sheetrock any longer at this stage in my career, yet every job they sent me to for the two weeks I spent with them, they literally had me hanging sheetrock!!! And I also agreed to help them out one Saturday morning for a half day job that needed to be done on a weekend, but then they took advantage of me and scheduled me for the next two Saturdays for full days without even asking me first if that worked for me or if I was ok with that. I had to find out about it the day I got to the job on a Saturday that they booked me for a full days work. They show no respect and take total advantage of you when you work for them and then once you don't allow them to do that any longer they actually get mad at you. And upon my quitting the owners even took it upon themselves to adjust my final week of hours and short me pay by going in and adjusting my clocked hours that I punched in and out at, which I will be filing the appropriate grievances and complaints against them due to the illegal action they performed to commit that crime. So not only are they providing poor, inexperienced work to their customers, they treat their employees terrible and with disrespect, and then when you don't want to put up with their treatment and disrespect any longer they act like the immature little children that they truly are and literally treat you like you owe them and they turn on you and try to punish you in illegal ways in regards to the employment world. So it will end up costing them in the end anyway. They have a lot to learn about running a business and what you can and cannot do to your employees. And unfortunately they are going to learn the hard way that you cannot screw over an ex-employee just because they quit on you and they're not happy about it. Be warned The Patch Boys are not the company you want working for you or to work for due to the unprofessional behavior displayed by the owners in regards to both ethics and morals of how a professional business should be run.
