I have been working at The Peninsula Hotels full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

True luxury all around. They treat their employees as they do their guests. I've never worked for a company that cares so much about the employee experience. Benefits are fantastic. Low premiums. Amazing 401k package. Comp nights. Plenty of opportunities to grow. Excellent learning and development programs. Truly like a family.

    Cons

The only con is that I wish there were more locations in the United States. The home office is so far - Hong Kong. Feels a little disconnected sometimes.

    Advice to Management

Thank you for all you do.

I have been working at The Peninsula Hotels full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Proud to be an employee at The Peninsula Hotel, 5 star 5 diamond hotel, we have a great boss in our department (accounting) Todd Labhart, very understanding & professional.

    Cons

Employee parking is only the issue, limited. I noticed that some employee's they rather park outside the premises and pay from their own pocket.

    Advice to Management

Hope they can find a employee parking lot near by the Hotel,

    Pros

I have been working at The Peninsula Beverly Hills since January. I am so in love with my team, they give me support and encouragement always. There is always so much pride in everything that we do here and the standard to be great is infectious. I see myself growing with such a wonderful group of people. I am looking forward to my future, because the Peninsula team is a great environment to learn from.

    Cons

Office space is just a bit tight

I worked at The Peninsula Hotels full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Brand pride, got to work alongside some great people

    Cons

The company is extremely hierarchical and it's very difficult to move up. Once you hit a manager level they seemed to take pretty good care of everyone but otherwise they were happy to keep you as an assistant forever

    Advice to Management

Provide more opportunities for growth of lower level staff or you will lose good employees.

I have been working at The Peninsula Hotels full-time

    Pros

The company truly cares about its people, and if they like your work, will support you with your career growth.

    Cons

In management, the hours are long especially if you're in operations. And the schedule can change often. For those with families/children, hopefully they can try better to be more understanding of its unique challenges.

    Advice to Management

Please speak to your directors, make sure that they communicate with their team so that work/life schedules can be balanced so that you can have a happy and more effective team. Try to be more accommodating with those with families and children. Also, help get rid of the gender salary gap and regularly review female managers' salaries for better compensation.
