I have been working at The Pensions Regulator full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Personally I had and have a better understanding in regards of saving for retirement, educating employers to comply with their duties, protecting employees from being induced.

    Cons

Government Gate way is not user friendly and many employers get frustrated. Log in platform would need to be updated.

I have been working at The Pensions Regulator full-time

    Pros

Flexible employer with good benefits, good pay for south coast and a nice working environment with good transport links back into London

    Cons

Lack of progression within teams and fixed salary point rather than a salary scale. Often to progress you may need to change job role completely.

    Advice to Management

To ensure clear communication between management and teams and ensure good communication across teams as well as good communication

    Pros

    nice cafe.. in Brighton centrallly

    Cons

SharePoint from the early 2000s.. if you are a SharePointer there is nothing but doom here..

    Advice to Management

nothing just tell SharePointers that they will be directly querying SharePoint databases for ever! (dracula type laugh).. seriously not good for a SharePointer as that is donkeys years old ways and we have careers right?

    Pros

The people working there are absolutely friendly.

    Cons

    - Poor Management and obvious nepotism with the management system
    - Dysfunctional system
    - Time wasters and should be closed down in my opinion.

(PS: I am not the first to have this opinion).

I worked at The Pensions Regulator full-time

    Pros

Benefits, flexi time, great pension and amazing central office location.

    Cons

Poor management at all levels, will not progress on merit alone, only way up is to be a yes person and be liked by a senior manager. Nasty office politics and games played.

I worked at The Pensions Regulator (Less than a year)

    Pros

No stress at all. you can hide in a corner doing nothing as long as you have a sympathetic (or ignorant) manager. Salary is good for Brighton. The offices are okay.

    Cons

Bullying by middle management is rife. There is a certain amount of cronyism amongst the middle management who are mostly not as technically sophisticated as those they manage.

    Advice to Management

Try to listen to those you manage rather than blindly dictate poor practices to them and get annoyed when real life fails to live up to your image.
