I worked at The Resource Group (More than a year)

    Pros

It is very easy and if you can follow simple instructions and you have a heartbeat they will hire you. The atmosphere was great and one particular manager or supervisor was great. Bob C. was hands on where he interviewed me hired me trained me along with 20 other employees and he supervised and delegated work to others if all supervisors where like him it would be great.

    Cons

When a campaign was over there was not enough work for us and that meant cut hours until another campaign was ready or transfer
They told their employees that there was bonus available and it was very difficult to get

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to take chances with employees that want to become managers, there is potential managers that never get an opportunity that they deserve

    Pros

Made some great friendships. Discovered that I really love being on a team of managers, managing teams of advisors. It was fun.

    Cons

Call centers have contracts that require specific metrics be met. Sometimes, meeting metrics while maintaining customer satisfaction is very stressful. Low pay and poor benefits.

    Advice to Management

Remember what it's like for your people. They are on the front lines. Show them that you care.

    Pros

Don't have to be on your feet or dress nicely.

    Cons

Very little say in schedule, and hours start as early as 4am. Serious micromanagement is insulting. I just got out of the hospital having my gallbladder removed, resulting in serious elimination issues. No slack on bathroom breaks, in fact, On the occasion when I returned from my 10 minutes bathroom break 1-3 minutes late, my 20 something male supervisor (half my age) would yell to me through the glass window separating management from slaves,so everyone could hear; "it only takes the other girls 8-10 minutes to go to the bathroom". Everyone feels the sweatshop mentality, and we were held responsible to have extremely high call turnover rates adhered to even though some of the computers had repeated technical issues. Rather hated my self image while working there.

    Pros

Cool downtown location. Employees are nice. IT department works hard. Really difficult to find 20 words to use as pros.

    Cons

Starting salary is insulting and therefore the only employees they can get are either desperate for work or fresh out of college. The company only hires people who have earned a college degree but then treat them like they are in a concentration camp for slaves and dummies. Management is very dishonest, not true to their word, demeaning, immature and woefully inadequate. Turn

    Advice to Management

Get out of management. You are the worst I have ever encountered.
