I worked at The Saban Free Clinic (Less than a year)
Working in a multidisciplinary team; great support staff and team meetings; rewarding experience
Sessions are limited to short-time therapy, generally 6 sessions.
Hours and people are great
Pay is far too low
Advice to Management
Pay mores keep good staff. Increase benefits from none to some thing. Offer chances for advancement in field.
I worked at The Saban Free Clinic as an intern (More than a year)
the ability to work in multidisciplinary team, different opportunities to lead groups in addition to individual therapy; office space; team members; great supervisor in Mental Health department; friendly staff;
short-term therapy limited to six sessions was a challenge at times; fast work environment; clinic would get very busy.
The Saban Free Clinic offers an excellent benefits package better than most Fortune 500 companies in terms of health benefits. In addition, there are many opportunities to take a leadership role in various projects and/or improve work processes.
Overall great work enviornment, but staff can be petty at times. Gossip does run rampant and it's best to stay out of the mix. It is a nonprofit and therefore salaries are not the best compared to working in Corporate America.
