    Pros

Good insurance benefits. Many people have worked there for years (decades in many cases), so everyone knows each other and there is sort of a family atmosphere. Some of the work that is done is really impactful on children.

    Cons

Little to no opportunity for advancement. Conflicts between departments. Inadequate pay for the work load. Seemed to always be financially unstable. Not a forward thinking company in terms of management, and work policy.

    Advice to Management

Be more translucent with what is going on financially within the organization. Be open to appropriately compensating highly qualified individuals.

    Pros

    Small office
    Metro accessible
    Friendly staff
    Decent benefits
1/2 day Fridays in July and August
    Support periodic working from home

    Cons

High demands but no rewards or incentives
    Low company morale
    Short-staffed and stretched too thin
    No talent management
No room to move up unless someone leaves or is fired

    Advice to Management

If you're asking someone to perform certain tasks at a "manager" level, the pay needs to reflect those demands. Just because someone doesn't have the years of experience doesn't mean that they don't deserve proper compensation for the work that you're asking them to do.
