I have been working at The Scienomics Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This is a company that stands by its values. It's a group that truly cares about each employee's happiness and passions. No one gets left behind and everyone has a voice. Tons of flexibility and trust (once earned).

    Cons

No down sides to report that couldn't be brought to management or that aren't common for the industry.

I have been working at The Scienomics Group full-time

    Pros

Folks there are usually quite nice, some are very gregarious. Culture can be hit or miss but most of the very top management are interested in your development as an employee (once you've been there awhile).

    Cons

Many people stay only a year or two and move on to better positions in other companies. Mid-management has a "it's the way it is" attitude and seems unlikely to change. To be fair, pay and compensation is better in other companies and industries.

    Advice to Management

Be flexible and work on communication skills. Consider bringing in fresh management from outside.

I worked at The Scienomics Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Majority of people are really nice and fun to work with
    - Overall work environment is casual
    - Relaxed attire, can wear jeans almost daily
    - Lower level staff have opportunities to work with senior staff/management
    - Mentorship program is great
    - Medical staff is awesome and great to work with when given the opportunity

    Cons

    - Very small team (<15)
    - A tight knit group can be great, but also very difficult for new comers to become integrated
    - Expectations and instructions can be miscommunicated when receiving orders from multiple people at multiple levels of authority
    - Negative reinforcement in front of others is used on occasion
    - Money/finances seemed to be stressed most of the time

    Advice to Management

    - Positive reinforcement will go much further than negative reinforcement
    - Senior VP staff was always great to work with, other managing staff might benefit from similar training

    "Great company, great environment"

I have been working at The Scienomics Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company is in a client-facing environment. Can this become stressful at times? Yes. But leadership is extremely motivated (and cognizant) to make the work hours and work environment the best possible. If the workload is too much, other people will help. If you have time to spare, you help someone who's overloaded. It makes for a very familial feeling where, as one of the new company motto's sounds, we are not only all in; we're all in it, together! There is no internal competition, but rather everyone wants everyone else to succeed, flourish, and kill it!

    Cons

This may not be fully to the detriment of the company, but the successes can become a bit much to deal with. Hiring to supplement a deficit in staffing can be hard, but it is something we all know leadership is working hard to resolve.

    Advice to Management

Keep crushing it and creating the open environment where people can and want to succeed, and a place where there's a lot of opportunity for internal growth!

I have been working at The Scienomics Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked at TSG for 2 years in Medical & Scientific services in San Francisco, and I had an extremely positive experience. I would highly recommend this company for several reasons:
    - The SF office is a tight-knit, diverse, smart, and hard working group which is a pleasure to be a part of
    - The projects are interesting and diverse within medical communications
    - As part of HCG, there are many opportunities for career advancement and continuing education (especially for people coming from academia, there are many opportunities to learn more about the pharmaceutical business)

    Cons

    - In any client-facing role, sometimes project timelines can be aggressive, leading to the inevitable crunch time. This is not a con for TSG, but just something to be aware of if you've never worked at an agency
    - TSG SF is a smaller office so you may be asked to take on roles that you weren't expecting
    - Staffing on fast-moving project teams can be a challenge, but management does a great job being proactive about staffing changes

    Advice to Management

    Keep crushing it!
