I have been working at The Squires Group full-time

    Pros

Not a lot of company micromanagement. Internal systems are easy to use.

    Cons

If in a consulting position, do not expect much career development. There is no 401k employer contributuon.

I have been working at The Squires Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great work environment with a solid, experienced, dynamic team! TSGi offers a wonderful opportunity to learn, be mentored and work with a diverse group of individuals who have experience working in a wide array of industries. Offering a think outside of the box mentality, where new ideas are welcome and encouraged. Management has an open door policy where you can talk freely, share new ideas, express concerns, and just catch up. A work hard, play hard, have fun environment, where everyone enjoys what they do and works hard to reach our common goals. The office is dog friendly, which offers a family-atmosphere and an opportunity to break away with some of the ‘office dogs’ and coworkers to enjoy a walk in West Annapolis. There is a true work-life balance culture and the management team is not afraid to recognize their team for their efforts.

    Cons

Benefits are a bit pricey, but that is to be expected in a small business.

    Pros

Great people, and you have a employee one on one with a staff member from Squires who visits you on the job for lunch just to make sure everything is going well.

    Cons

I have nothing negative to say.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the one on one visits they help a lot and show that you care about your employees.

I have been working at The Squires Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Terrific work-life balance, people and culture. I find humor, transparency, and a dynamic work environment every day I come to work. Company has developed a caring culture that is very intentional, and they work hard to protect it; sort of like your extended family. Very experienced, senior team. Flexible work schedule. Training opportunities. Very open to listening to others ideas. Turnover is very low.

    Cons

Internally, it is a somewhat flat organizational structure, so promotion, advancement, and success comes from working on growing the business, not as much working for the business. Might not fit a promotion track mentality. Benefits are ok.

    Advice to Management

Continue to let your leaders lead, and keep up the great work!
