I worked at The TJX Companies, Inc. full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - good benefits - worked with a great team - opportunity to learn a lot and network

    Cons

    - there’s a particular culture they possess and if you don’t fit in, you’ll feel it - sometimes workload can be a bit overwhelming and getting help can be a struggle - there are some nice buyers but there can be really condescending ones

I have been working at The TJX Companies, Inc. part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Flexible hours, great colleagues if you get along with them, if you want more work hours there’s usually a lot available, paid weekly

    Cons

    1) Rude customers can make your shift stressful 2) If you work on the floor and are constantly called up to do “back up cashier” your area never gets recovered. This then results in closing employees staying longer after closing to finish up recovery. 3) Closing employees cannot leave early unless all areas are recovered and returns are put back. 4) If you work less than 6 hours, you only get 1 15-minute break (one break is not enough especially when they schedule you to work between 5.25 to 5.75 hours) 5) When you interview for any non-management job at a TJX store and they tell you they encourage their employees’ use of creativity when merchandising — DON’T believe them. You spend most of the time following the specified wants of higher-ups.

I worked at The TJX Companies, Inc. part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great people to work with, relatively relaxed atmosphere with straight forward instruction.

    Cons

Very minimal benefits for part-time employees. The only discount is 10%, and that’s all the benefits you receive. Very stressful around the holidays with overcrowding in store and excessive clutter.
