    Pros

    Have been working for The Tile Shop for more than 4 years. I have worked in multiple locations and it has provided me with an awesome life. In that 4 years I made it from the bottom to store Manager. If you put in the effort then you can go far.

    Cons

    Tile is heavy. Thin-set is also Heavy.

    Advice to Management

    Very excited to see what happens in the future.

    Life Changing Money if you are willing to earn it. Beautiful product and showrooms to sell out of.

    Pros

    If everything is going great then you will be paid well.

    Cons

    Six to seven day work weeks. 60 to 80 hour work week. Little help from upper management. Extreme expectation even though the company over all is failing. No family values

    There's really not too many Pros to this place. If you're good and you can sell, you don't have a cap on your commission, but you'll probably be working 60+ hours a week. Feel lucky if you have a competent manager and get decent training and don't have to worry about your money being stolen from you. They've padded a lot of the reviews on GlassDoor by bribing corporate employees and managers to give '5 Star' reviews, so take all of them with a grain of salt.     You have changed so many things and policies over the last couple of years, but you have never changed the way you train and promote managers. There are several stores who have such poor leaders, but they continue on just the same because they have one or two sales people who make their numbers each month.     You can make as much money as you want, management supports the team to drive sales and there is room for career opportunities. Product is fresh and appealing and the turnover is low

    Income and Benefits were good, but for a price!

    Cons

    Everything.... They expect so much from you, yet give you no support when its needed. No work-life balance. They don't see you as an asset to the company, or even a human being; you are just a number, and it is all about the numbers!

    Treat your employees better and maybe your turn over rate won't be so high!

    The people, store manager level and under.

    Cons

    Upper management does not care about you, no matter how hard you work or dedicate yourself with loyalty and honesty. Long hours, cleaning bathrooms and showroom required with no appreciation. Stores blamed for problems in the industry or market. Constant pressure with little to no reward.

    Hold yourself accountable for the way you treat Store Managers and store level staff. Hold yourself accountable for the way you allow Regional Managers to treat your Store level Management and staff. Hold yourself accountable for issues and challenges within the industry.     Used to have long hours, the company heard all the negative reviews and listened to its employees needs and changed this, now you get two days off, more vacations and more understanding from upper management about spending time at home and away from work.     There are no TRUE downsides to having this job and getting the pay that I want.

    On a corporate level the only thing that needs to improve is inventory. Store level everything is wonderful and would be hard to improve on.
