I have been working at The University of Kansas Health System part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Supportive, helpful, and understanding, are three terms that describe the staff I work with at KU Hospital.

    Cons

Thus far, I have found no real downsides. Getting used to the campus can be difficult for a newcomer.

I have been working at The University of Kansas Health System full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Speaking as a non-clinical IT employee, I could work anywhere, but I feel I make a real difference in people's lives by working at a world-class health system.

    Cons

Monetary compensation for non-clinical IT positions, while becoming more competitive each year, may still be below market. However, the other benefits will/may offset any perceived lack of parity.

I have been working at The University of Kansas Health System full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent Hospital and employee benefits. There are many specializations and quality staff to meet just about every need you might have.

    Cons

Application process to work at UKH is very long and drawn out. The process took over 3 months from my initial application submission to being offered a job and an orientation date.

    Advice to Management

I would highly recommend more talent acquisition employees or some recruitment management to help expedite the application and hiring process.

    Pros

    Cons

I can not think of anything that's wrong or bad about KU, I love working at this hospital and don't regret on choosing this great place to work!

    Advice to Management

I can't complaint everybody takes responsibility for their own duties.
