I have been working at The University of North Carolina System full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Overall, a very friendly and collaborative environment. Most faculty and scientists here are very supportive. Its really a great place to do high impact research.

    Cons

Some of the faculty treat their post docs and graduate students like crap. Not exactly an unique situation to UNC, but just a reminder to anyone looking to post doc their to check up on the reputation of their principal investigator before working for them.

I worked at The University of North Carolina System

    Pros

The Friday Center is a great place to gain experience as an online course instructor. An instructor typically teaches a group of non-traditional students nearby UNC-Chapel Hill.

    Cons

The pay is not too awesome in comparison to UNC, but it is most certainly better than surrounding community college salaries.
