I worked at The Vancouver Clinic part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Competitive Pay and Benefits
Opportunities for transfer to broaden experience
    Lovely facility overall

    Cons

There are no particular down sides to TVC, except the types of situations that can exist at every job.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

I have been working at The Vancouver Clinic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Weekends and Holidays off, paid medical, ability to transfer within the clinic.

    Cons

Low pay, no raises or bonuses, high turnover, no flexibility with hours, very political.

    Advice to Management

Talk to your staff about changes. Advocate for staff to include competitive wages.

    Pros

I get paid for going there(not enough for what I have to go through)

    Cons

HR is full of a bunch of monkeys and will not look at you as a human, scare tactics, illegal activity, angry management.

    Advice to Management

Please, start treating your employees and patients better. The business is going in the wrong direction, I give it 5 to 7 more years. Good luck. Employees shouldn’t go home feeling abused by HR and management when they go home.

I worked at The Vancouver Clinic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Location. Oh my I can’t think of five words.

    Cons

Top heavy management. They pay the worker bee’s low and over pay the management. They fire employees and hire their friends with twice as much pay. Writing single moms up for being one minute late. They will give you an award for being a ‘great employee’ and then write you up for missing a day. Pay sucks. Went somewhere else and make double and they treat me like an adult.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like humans! These are actual people trying to make a living.

I worked at The Vancouver Clinic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Close to home. Pay is good. Hrs are good.

    Cons

They seem to not have it all together when it comes to orientation and training new people. Bullying is permitted here.
I was one of the first hired after a recent hiring freeze. Was there 2 days shy of a month. I had 2.5 wks of in class orientation and 4 days of actual job training, where 1 trainer was inexperienced as a trainer was rude, negative and a bully. I spoke my mind and had to meet with HR. I was actully ok when they told me i was done there. But let me know in 6 months I could apply for other jobs with them again

    Advice to Management

Management seems to be disconnected from the staff. Keep doing your daily huddles.

I worked at The Vancouver Clinic full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Some great staff, and was close to home for a short commute. I stayed through the harassment because of a few amazing staff members.

    Cons

Low pay, management supports a hostile environment, no voice, constantly asked to do tasks beyond scope of practice, no advancement opportunities, little care for staff safety, eggshell environment of who will be fired next.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees concerns. Allowing harassment, and telling staff to "figure it out" is NOT okay. Encouraging staff to write false Yelp reviews is just terrible...

I worked at The Vancouver Clinic full-time

    Pros

Located in Vancouver, easy commute. Good employees to work with and most physicians are nice!

    Cons

After 6 years in this company, it was time to move on. The company continues to go downhill with a lack of concern for patients and employees. The direction of the company has gone from supporting employees to writing up and firing for every little offense. From caring about patients, to everything is about the bottom line. This company is more concerned about building new buildings than the community they serve. The HR department is not employee friendly and can be very hostile towards anyone that speaks out. The top HR lady is rude and she treats employees as if they are disposable.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect and actually care about your patients vs. the money you are losing from building too much too fast. Cost of living goes up, pay your staff a living wage and give raises!

I have been working at The Vancouver Clinic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Vast majority of Co-Workers, providers, the patients,

    Cons

Miscommunication, Low wages, Too much work not enough pay, way under staffed, rarely in your "home" department, no bonuses, no incentives, stress

    Advice to Management

Treat your PSR's as if they mean something to you, no bonuses, no raises, no incentives to keep us there and way underpaid for the amount of work you expect.
