I worked at The Vancouver Clinic full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits, hours. Great co workers. Physicians are awesome. A team atmosphere in each department. Physicians will go the extra mile to work with the team.

    Cons

Management is scarce. salary is not always fairly given. Those who work harder or there longer are paid the same as ones who just came on board or those who do not perform as well.

    Advice to Management

Be more aware of the needs of employees regarding time spent with patients. Expectations to high on time allotment. Spend time with your workers. Get to know the process.

I worked at The Vancouver Clinic part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are good and pay is okay

    Cons

Corrupt supervisors, trainers and workers live in fear of losing their jobs.

    Advice to Management

Restructure the middle management and replace the trainers.

I have been working at The Vancouver Clinic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great on-boarding process, competitive wages, responsive supervisors and management. I came to The Vancouver Clinic in search of a better work-life balance and have definitely achieved that. I can easily check my work at the door and not have to worry about responsibilities outside of work.

    Cons

I'm fairly new, so I have not seen many issues. I work in the Patient Service Center (Call Center) and some departments are difficult to get ahold of, or are short when they answer, but otherwise, not much to complain about.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing in the PSC. It's a happy atmosphere with support when needed.

I worked at The Vancouver Clinic full-time

    Pros

Great benefits, nice office building, upper management seems to care

    Cons

Some middle managers are more into micromanagement than others. As a nurse, we should have more autonomy for certain tasks, than the credit given by some managers.

    Cons

I worked at The Vancouver Clinic full-time

    Pros

I do not have one good thing to say about The Vancouver Clinic

    Cons

If you want to work in a place that is so money driven and micro managed with no employee appreciation then this would be the place to go. The employees are threatened that they will lose their jobs if they do not do certain tasks to help fix the fact that they over extended themselves on building 3 new clinics and kicking the state insured to the street. Now they are wanting all the state insured and their families back. This place is not a place caring about patient care, its a place that is only concerned with the bottom line. Wonder why? It's because its owned by the Vancouver Clinic doctors. It is so micromanaged there that you feel like you are in a military camp. All you hear is if you do this or don't do that you are going to get into trouble and be written up and that includes clocking in or out one minute late. Worst work environment ever! Furthermore I would never go there as a patient or recommend anyone to either. I have listened to staff gossip about patients left and right its unbelievable.

    Advice to Management

Take a look at yourselves and see that you have created the most toxic work environment I have ever experienced. Also managers and leads should learn to be professional and not gossip about other staff or the situations that take place. If you are in management then act like it and not like you are still in high school.

    Pros

Specialized services with a directive toward patient outcomes. Qualitative desire to provide the best possible care for every member of the community that they serve.

    Cons

Parking and travel requirements are such that it is better to plan for taking the train whenever possible. The excessive spending in non-critical non-patient-based upgrades.

    Advice to Management

Be the change that you wish to see in the world. An organization cannot derive success without their own approval.
