I worked at The White Company full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Friendly Colleagues, culture is great. People from different countries work there. - Store is never too quiet, so you don't get too bored. - Pay is alright. Chances of scaling are high.

    Cons

    - Management had a few favorites. - Passive aggressive approach of management when they had problems with some team members.

I worked at The White Company part-time

    Pros

People on the team are very nice, lunch area is good (although no cel reception, so prepare to bring books).

    Cons

The management was nice but didn't say who would be staying as a permanent sales person until the last day. As a temp you don't get any discounts in store, it would have been nice as Christmas presents.

I worked at The White Company full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - The most beautiful office I've worked in - Friendly individuals - Free tea & coffee - Positive sales growth - Very good induction (with free gifts)

    Cons

    - Despite some nice people, overall a toxic environment - Poor leadership with a lack of direction - Long hours expected but little output realised by many - Sign off my leadership is required on every small detail, from new emails to products - Expect micro management

I worked at The White Company part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great place to work if you enjoy having the time to chat to customers about products and have a whole team of like-minded staff to work with. Really good place to learn about products in-depth, so is more challenging than your average high street store.

    Cons

Not many - perhaps internal management in terms of customer information capture was rather frustrating, as numbers mattered more to managers than whether or not the customer actually wanted to give over their personal details...

I worked at The White Company full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Within the store I had a lot of freedom to make decisions and be heard as part of the management team. Pay at supervisor level is good and time off and holiday requests are easy to negotiate Products are beautiful and the majority of customers are nice and polite. Obviously because of the brand there are also those privilege customers who can require a thick skin to resolve issues with The retail and IT support team are excellent at helping with any issues and were life savers when ever anything needed escalating Opportunities for career growth are reachable

    Cons

The work can get incredibly repetitive and de-motivating when outside of peak trading seasons. Very slow footfall during weekdays. Which makes the emphasis on getting along with your colleagues more important which depending on your motivations at work and who you work with can either be a good or a bad thing Issues with management are not dealt with quickly and sensitively despite all illusions and promises that they are. Ultimately this catalysed me leaving this post.
