I have been working at The Wine Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Dedicated employees and leaders throughout the company. People care about each other and it seems that everyone is working to make the company better. It is a culture that is rich with history and dedication to producing quality wine. Good for work/life balance, nice benefits and an opportunity to grow. Company invests in new equipment and other areas that improve the product. Just overall a pleasant place to work.

    Cons

Sometimes bump into things that need updating - like systems, processes, and facilities.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the employees. They know what is going on in the company and they have ideas on how to improve. Focus on the long term vs. the day to day. Communicate more as a leadership team.

I worked at The Wine Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The Wine Group is a well funded operation with a strategic vision for long-term success.

    Cons

Senior management drives middle managers and floor employers to reach goals a bit to lofty to actually achieve, resulting in plenty of overtime, delays in project completion, redundant efforts, positional stagnation, and a high rate of employee turnover.

I have been working at The Wine Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Everyone is on the same page in the cellar and pro union.

    Cons

Every other department is pushing to remove the union.

    Advice to Management

Let department choose whether they are union or non union like Cutler.

I have been working at The Wine Group full-time

    Pros

Lovely people, my team is super helpful and has a lot of respect for one another.

    Cons

Nothing negative to say, my past 5 months have been great other than just that most people are a bit older than I am. So finding people and make friends (if you are under 25) might be a bit hard

    Pros

The culture is incredible and the people are hardworking, creative and FUN. The brands are interesting and the Company is known for its innovation. We move fast and we love what we do!

    Cons

In order to be successful here, you must be a self-starter and have an entrepreneurial spirit. It's a Company that rewards solid talent but will not hold your hand towards success. It's challenging in the most inspiring way.

    Advice to Management

Have confidence in our brands! Take risks. Be creative. Launch and grow our brands differently in the market. Celebrate who we are as a Company. Keep nurturing our people and setting the standard for a unique, collaborative culture.

I worked at The Wine Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Competitive salary. Some locations are better than others.

    Cons

Worst onboarding experience ever. No office, no desk, no phone and a used computer. Way to much micromanagement to be effective. You are constantly defending yourself.

    Advice to Management

Every location is way different. You need to find a way to take the best from each location and duplicate it at the others.
