Pros
The Wonderful Company is a large private company that has a lot of name recognition across a number of disciplines, geographies and industries. It's a great place to cut your teeth so to speak - especially if you live in the Central Valley of CA.
Cons
It's a private company and has a very performance/politic based culture at the top. In other words - a little bit like Game of Thrones (this is not uncommon in many larger companies). Finding a good mentor and developing relationships with key leaders who can support your career growth and advocate for you is critical to success.

Sadly, this place is not Wonderful
Apr 11, 2023 - Assistant in Los Angeles, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
If you manage to survive past two years in this Company, you’re treated like an expert as no one generally lasts long. I’ve seen lots of people come and go. You don’t have to do much work; easy to be invisible. The benefits are great.
Cons
New hires are not set up to win. Those who have been here longer will purposely try to get rid of new hires for their own job security or advancement. Management is clueless and will blindly believe whatever a long term employee tells them; no discernment. Everything negative you have read about this place is true. Even the things that do not seem believable. You will not get rewarded for working hard. It will be grounds for getting rid of you faster. Taking PTO is almost impossible.

Pros
Lots of employee discounts on Fiji water, flowers, wine, and gyms.
Cons
Mandatory overtime, constant chaos, lack of transparency between CEO and front line workers, toxic workplace environment, and little care about employees opinions/feedback. Everyone is afraid to be truthful to the CEOs, constant chaos caused by band aiding problems to seem like everything is perfect. CEOs and executive management don’t care about trying to fix problems with programs and culture, very much authoritative leadership. Employees work in constant fear of being fired. Company is trigger happy with firing. Turn over rates are high. Most employees leave within 1-2 years. They do not promote within, little upward mobility for workers. Whole departments have been fired and have even mass resigned.
