I worked at The Woodbridge Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good people to work with
Everyday seemed like it was something different
The quality manager was great to talk to and very helpful

    Cons

Turn around rate was pretty high
Other than that I would say there aren’t too many, yeah sure the place could be a little bit cleaner but what do you expect from a factory

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees more

I worked at The Woodbridge Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    my paycheck paid my bills

    Cons

The amount of nepotism that was allowed by management was surprising and disappointing.

    Advice to Management

Don't allow families to take over entire departments, forcing out truly talented individuals that are passed over for promotion after promotion as worthless family members advance to positions that they are not qualified to fill.

    Pros

Woodbridge has a history of being family owned and privately held. This heritage has become the basis for a lot of the culture. Most people have the can-do attitude of a small business, but Woodbridge has the footprint of a large multi-national corporation. Woodbridge will give you the opportunity to be involved in quite a broad range of opportunities. No one ever stands in the way of stepping in to resolve a problem and taking responsibility for it. If you see a need and work to resolve it, you'll have the authority to address it.

    Cons

The company measures performance based on the total headcount it takes to produce a meter of foam. Because of this there is a huge pressure to do more with less people. This results in a very demanding management that pressures the junior members of the organization to constantly perform above and beyond reasonable expectations. The company has a lot of chiefs but not a lot of people that execute successfully. It has aspirations of being a "tier 1 and a half" company but it doesn't have the desire to make the investments needed to become "OEM relevant". All of which result in a very stressful environment.

    Advice to Management

Consider the consequences of the metrics used. The focus on headcount HS created an overloaded work force that gets the job done but at the expense of their personal & family well being
