Great people and work environment.
Innovative and smart leadership on business development side.
Idealistic, start-up atmosphere.
There are no clear paths for advancement and professional growth.
Editorial leadership should put more effort into broadening the site's audience.
Company is still too dependent on one person.
Advice to Management
Better integrate the editorial team with the rest of the company's staff.
Use increased revenue to hire more writers rather than repeated meaningless promotions for certain staff just because they got in on the ground floor.

My years at the Blaze were the best yet in terms of professional relationships. I will say the company attracted incredible, good-hearted, hardworking people. And if you're creative and a renaissance man, you'll have a lot of freedom to blaze your own trail.
The constant shifts in direction and mission and the turnover in leadership all leave you feeling very rudderless.

Respectable work and plenty of opportunities to contribute to the whole. Admirable effort to find the truth and give a voice to the average American.
Management is amateur. Entire enterprise revolves around one man, and most everything and everyone is sidelined because of that. Too many people going in too many different directions.
Advice to Management
Make sure there's a more efficient division of labor, and listen to the little guy at the base of the corporate ladder.
people were willing to show me around
i had a lot of freedom to decide what to work on
got to work in almost every department
outlook of getting hired was good
ceo and president were very inspiring and positive, but they both left soon after my internship ended
pay was average/good for an internship!
gave me too much freedom to decide as an intern
some supervisors were cliquey and exclusive/not very helpful because i was an intern
didn't get a great vibe from higher-ups about the future of the company, so i didn't even apply to work full time after graduation

Friendly, laid back environment with some awesome fellow employees.
Was a start up company that was on the rise but is now deteriorating and shut down all offices but Texas.

the exposure and people you meet and worth with are top notch and engaging. The atmosphere and vibe you get is warm.
none that I can think of
Great friendly staff, everyone greets everyone with a smile. Boss is terrific and want you to succeed. Lots of opportunities
There aren't really any cons at all that I have about the company at all. See Pros above.
