I have been working at Therma-Tru full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There are a lot of training and experiential opportunities at Therma-Tru. If you are a team player, willing to work hard and have a sincere interest in making a contribution there are plenty of opportunities. We are a part of Fortune Brands Home & Security that is well capitalized and run by top-notch senior leadership.

    Cons

Therma-Tru has an opportunity to grow it's brand in the local community. We have a great culture, but many times people don't find out about it until they actually join the company.

    Advice to Management

Continue on path of growth and focus on talent management.

Therma Try is a pretty good company to work for. They treat their employees really well and do many things to treat the employees

    Cons

They don't communicate very well. You usually have to talk to a couple different people to hear one thing completely

    Advice to Management

Improving communications between employees will make a world of difference

I have been working at Therma-Tru full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly people at all levels of the organization. Good culture that is people centered. Strong training and opportunities for advancement. Fun activities like food trucks and company events that are family friendly.

    Cons

Large factory makes it hard to know everyone. You get to know people in your area very well. Would like to learn more about and work in other areas of the plant.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

    I worked at Therma-Tru full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay for the area, mostly good employees, not a hard job to do

    Cons

Favoritism and management laziness running the departments , Management does not fallow thru on reporting of incident reports or of employee certifications, allow for harassment in the work place for weeks and expect it to go away, supervisors are a joke and lie to get the employees to do jobs, the tough attendance policy for temps does not allow for any emergency even if hurt at work so its a to bad your done atmosphere, don't really care about good workers its all about the product and the money - very deceiving company -

    Advice to Management

keep going your doing fine in your own little worlds - keep letting good workers go, some one else needs them

I worked at Therma-Tru (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Strongest brand in the business. Management is very successful in building that brand. Very Employee and family oriented. Well respected in the space.

    Cons

Travel 100%. Pay was sub industry average. Didn't mind the travel but was expected to be better compensation for that travel.

    Advice to Management

I would leave advice to management up to their direct report. It would break protocal but was very happy with management and the decisions they made.

    Pros

Friendly atmosphere with a lot of benefits and gifts to show they appreciate their employees. They treat their interns with the same amount of respect as full-time employees.

    Cons

There are not many downsides to working at Therma- Tru. The only thing I would say is that everybody likes to keep to themselves and get their work done, and I would like more of a fun and team oriented atmosphere.

I have been working at Therma-Tru full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great place to work. Great benefits and measurable pay for the area. Very involved with community with back pack project, shelters, coat and glove drive, United Way and many other local activities.

    Cons

Don't hold associates accountable for their actions, lots of favoritism, as long as you get your production numbers out they don't care how you get them, waste of time producing work instructions. Promote lazy people to higher paying positions. Have 2 pay tiers for associates and once associates are hired in most transfer to higher paying departments.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the upper management that don't care. Look at your employees and their dedication to the business.
