I have been working at Thermo Fluids full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Mmm... Well... Direct deposit seems to be almost flawless. 20% discount on Verizon products. Plenty of overtime. Company phone so you can take your work home with you. If you do your job well, you can do the work of others too.

    Cons

Always short handed putting unrealistic expectations on others to carry the work load. Work hours consistently push the legal limits of DOT compliance (14 hr days). Hiring process can be 60-90 days. Corporate mandates the use of their "preferred national vendors" who charge more and have ruined long standing relationships with the smaller local guys that I have to see at my kids baseball games.

    Advice to Management

Job well done. Great door closing strategy.

I worked at Thermo Fluids full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I enjoyed working with the sales team in assisting businesses in being environmentally sound and compliant. It was a pleasure and an adventure in building sales processes, accountability and partnerships internally and building trust and relationships with customers.

    Cons

Multiple databases to mine information from make it difficult to understand customers profitability and contribution to business. Outdated material for sales & operations processes, combined with the absence of same material makes it difficult to understand expectations. A formal training program, a formal recruiting & hiring process, and a clear performance management program, all with support from corporate is critical...

    Advice to Management

Regular, consistent and clear communication channels, particularly from corporate leadership is critical. And a good part of that communication needs to be as positive as possible, focusing on wins in business, great acts by people, and victories in the marketplace.
