Ok If You Like a Cult Mentality

    Pros

    Employee stock, PTO is generous

    Cons

If you are not a favorite, you will not move up. If you are not a good employee you will get promoted to be another managers problem. If you know someone that's in management, you will get whatever you want there from the minute you get hired. A lot of associates sit around shopping online all day and treat the customers like a burden. A lot of branch employees have no business being in customer service as they are rude to the customers and management does nothing. Employees are very catty and gossipy. A lot of management does not want to be bothered with employee issues as they are spending their days shopping online as well. When there are employee problems nothing gets handled and you get the shoulder shrug and an attitude well that's just how someone is, deal with it you know they will never change Also, when you work there you almost feel like it is a cult mentality. You can never offer constructive criticism without management making you feel like you are making trouble and don't believe in the company. Because the employees get stock and bonuses (although the bonuses aren't huge) you are made to feel you should be thankful that you get what you get and how dare you say something negative.

Not enough pay for all the different roles we have. No room to grow with the company if you work in Florida.

Best Company I have ever worked for

    Pros

The best company I have ever worked for and I had even worked for Disney. The benefits are wonderful especially the ASOP where on Valentine’s Day We get a bunch of stock dropped into our account. It really is the intangibles that make Third Fed wonderful to work, all the executives learn your name and even Marc the CEO goes out of his way to ask how you are doing. He has even bought lunches at the cafeteria for associates. They allow you to separate work from home even now during the pandemic. When I was very ill and in and out the Cleveland Clinic a few years ago they would call my wife and see how I was doing and allowed me to stay home and recuperate.

    Cons

While pay may be less then the big banks, we also don’t have quotas to hit.

    Cult culture

    Pros

Third Federal has always said they treated you like family. They offer company bonuses, stock, 401k contributions, vacation and sick time.

    Cons

Management can be difficult to work with. Want YES men/women. Sharing ideas or implementing change is frowned upon. There is a cult like culture that makes you feel like you are being treated amazing but the pay isn't that great. You are required to do multiple jobs and wear multiple hats to get paid like garbage. One day you could be doing loans the next you are running a teller window. If you slack off and are lazy there is no real consequences. If you work hard you just get more peoples work to do.
