I worked at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Average pay
    A lot of vacation time
    Discounts on public transportation
    Good benefits
    Right in center city
    Lots of restaurants

    Cons

    Lack of leadership
    No opportunity for growth
    Favoritism within department from management
Lots of vacation time but you have to jump through hoops to use it
Some coworkers believe they are in charge of the place since management is two blocks away in another building
Management isn’t afraid to put you down and make you feel replaceable
    Toxic work environment

    Advice to Management

Management doesn’t care about their employees in the department, I was never received a complement or a thank you from management. Employees are constantly put down and treated like they are nothing. You can’t even ask your boss a simple question with out feeling like you are dumb. I would look at this department carefully and evaluate the management team because the morale within this department is awful and it’s because they are afraid of their boss

I have been working at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, great location, nice people

    Cons

What I don't like is that a lot of the employees including me are under compensated. Instead of hiring for a position, they would rather over work their current employees and give them that positions duties with no incentive or raise. So you end up doing multiple jobs duties without being compensated appropriately.

    Advice to Management

Stop over working your employees for no pay. It breeds resentment and a high turn over rate.
