    Pros

Great products with brand recognition. Some great people have worked here in the past.

    Cons

High-turnover and employees are not replaced. Your manager can make or break you. There are more bad incompetent managers than good ones. The territories changes, your job changes and your boss changes every 6-12 months. The company does not address issues. It is the company culture to not answers emails or phone calls. HR plays favorites and can kill your career with the company.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to all the people that have left in 2016! They all had very good reasons to leave and no one seems to care or acknowledge that they are gone!

    Pros

Great pay and benefits! Nice facility!

    Cons

Mismanagement would be the one word to describe the organization. My manager managed 50 employees and was nearly in possible to get a hold of. There was little to no training, which made the job far more difficult than it needed to be.

    Advice to Management

In order for management to be effective, they need to be available to their employees. Without communication between management and employees the environment became hectic and unorganized.

    Pros

The pay is decent for entry level, and for those who have an associate degree level of education. It's a good place to build skills and experience.

    Cons

High turn over rate. Serious lack of leadership and training. This is the most unprofessional environment I've ever been in. Very low morale here. Little to no room for growth.

    Advice to Management

Become leaders and take responsibility. I've seen too many political charades and blame games going on. It's obvious to everyone. Stand up for your subordinates, and provide them with the tools and training they need to make you and the business successful.

I worked at Thomas & Betts full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Paid for most of my college. Do take advantage of that if you work there. Pay and benefits okay.

    Cons

Think: 3rd world sweatshop, dirty, backward culture, petty, and cutthroat.

    Advice to Management

Stricter recruiting policy, less favoritism, hire educated people for jobs in higher position

    Pros

You can work all the overtime you want.

    Cons

Poor wages. Confusing culture. Crab barrel....no one wants you to get ahead. Many employees are part of the point out everyone's flaws so no one sees that they don't perform. Unfortunately, these individuals are rewarded because they are allowed to take up leader's time and tell on others to keep the heat off of themselves. Supervisors are ok and are nice people overall, but obviously not trained or empowered.

    Advice to Management

Upper Management should visit the night shifts and help spread the company culture. HR is woefully inadequate and cannot handle routine employee issues and have little understanding of how to align with management.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Thomas & Betts full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Company car, Company Card, company cellphone.

    Cons

Deteriorating management, understaffed, inter office managerial power plays, poor scheduling, little regard to personal life, Training budget is constantly cut, the field is understaffed but management says there is no justification to add more personnel, cross country travel can be scheduled at the drop of a hat.

    Advice to Management

Either spend the money or reduce the commitments. Dispite haven been purchased by ABB, Thomas & Betts constantly bickers and finger points. Not to mention constantly undermines the other parts of the organization by constantly shifting expenses and losses around on the books to try and look as if they are doing better than they actually are. There are successful parts of the organization. However the Thomas & Betts core has become so used to the idea that they are successful that the concept of actually maintaining a well run business if foreign to them. Which results in them hacking away at anything golden they touch until it looks like the mangled and miss managed core that is Thomas & Betts.

I worked at Thomas & Betts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Full company match on first 3% of 401k .

    Cons

Their is very poor sense of employee engagement in the office, distrust of management, and few local development opportunities. Due to many buyouts and mergers, their is a high turnover rate and most office employees have a tenure of 5 years or less.
    Harassment tolerating atmosphere.
