I have been working at Thomas and Herbert full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good starter company. Presents opportunity to learn and venture into different career areas to help grow the company. Can be a very fun place to work. Great opportunities to interface with Clients, and learn Government contracting culture. Nice idea for a company. Benefits package outside of salary are amazing.

    Cons

Employees are overworked with lack of corporate overhead, and spread too thin at times which is counterproductive. Executives over talk and schedule meetings for everything which takes up additional time that could be used to be productive. Executives also spread themselves too thin, frequently cancel meeting due to double booking, and are very skeptical of suggestions to do better. Not open to accepting opinions or feedback from employees. Underpay for work expected to be contributed, even though they talk up growth and advancing through the company. Very good talkers, but not great with the follow through. Execution could be better. More like a staffing agency than a company offering careers. This employer is more for candidates with an established career, not for the candidate trying to build a career.

    Advice to Management

Get more help, stop overworking employees and underpaying them. Don't forget the company is only as good as the foundation and workers it has.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Thomas and Herbert full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Compensation is comparable to market average.

    Cons

The workplace has seen a lot of turnover while i was there. The insecurity aspect of people being let go without announcements is very disconcerting. It is a very unpredictable without things being transparent and open about the state of the company.

    Advice to Management

Value those who have the skills and provide them the opportunities to prove and move up. There is no growth or promotion seen in the company overall which makes for low morale and incentive to work harder.
