    Pros

Great group of employees to work with

    Cons

A horrible place to work for, no training, no values and no leadership (owner / CEO especially), no planning or vision for the future at all..... Instead he did an excellent job destroying the company and the career of many loyal employees.

    Advice to Management

Management did their best to keep the company running and open.......
Owner/CEO stop lying, cheating, using and abusing the employees and investors.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Thompson National Properties full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people at TNP were great. Management would take employees on a trip to the desert every year. It was a crazy environment. You learned a LOT and wore many different hats.

    Cons

The biggest disadvantage is the company has fallen on hard times. The CEO has been banned by FINRA from the securities industry. Employees are laid off fairly regularly.

    Advice to Management

It seems like you're winding down the business. Be honest to remaining employees about what they can expect.

I worked at Thompson National Properties full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There were opportunities to learn different areas in real estate if you are the type of person that takes the initiative to want to learn...

    Cons

Employees didn't get reprimanded for not working...there were people that were goofing around the whole day and no one cared! There were employees that were not strong enough to be working in a fast paced real estate environment and no one called them for it...in a public co, these people wouldn't have been axed.

    Advice to Management

Hire talented employees that actually work and compensate them.

I worked at Thompson National Properties full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They provide good starting pay and opportunities for advancement, and most corporate clients were pleasant to deal with. Management can be responsive to new ideas depending on who you get in contact with.

    Cons

Some management is more responsive than others, and the work can be quite challenging depending on the ups and downs of the market.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the feedback of those below you, and put yourself in their shoes more often.

I worked at Thompson National Properties full-time

    Pros

    Lots of nice co-workers
Great place to learn new things

    Cons

The logistic here is very messed up.
You are expected to just know EVERYTHING with little direction
    Politically driven on hiring methods
Since most of the educated employees left, the "interns" are running the company

    Advice to Management

    Learn to communicate.

  10. "Employees are nice"

    StarStarStarStarStar
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Employees are good to work with

    Cons

The work environment was good to work with when the right people are on board. It had gotten to a point that new managment the company hired were incompetent. Lots of pointing fingers and blaming games from the management.

    Advice to Management

If you can't retain your key employees and so caught up in the politics and micromanagement, it will never work.
