I have been working at ThoughtFocus full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

It's been over a decade now. Have seen it growing and also pains of growth. That means there was never a dull moment for me and always something new to do.

    Cons

ThoughtFocus is in its teen now. So it is growing and defining the identity. The old timers will understand, new joinees especially from stable big companies will find out of place. Unless one associate oneself with growth, it may seem overwhelming. Retrospectively the change can always be better managed.

    Advice to Management

Play to our strength. That is the core. That's what made us. Beware of illusions.

    Pros

Great opportunity for entrepreneurial endeavors, Supportive of Innovative Ideas and Solutions, concept of enterprise within an enterprise for business leaders.

    Cons

Having globally distributed operations sometimes makes things a bit convoluted.

I have been working at ThoughtFocus full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I have worked for a large number of services companies over the past 25 years. ThoughtFocus is the most innovative company that I have ever worked for. They continue to invest in new service lines, build IP, and position themselves as a true thought leader in a number of service lines. Note that Blackstone is a minority investor in the firm. This financial position does allow ThoughtFocus to more easily invest in services and IP that can then serve the market.

    Cons

Only real one is figuring out which service line deserves the most attention. There are a number that have tremendous momentum.

I have been working at ThoughtFocus full-time

    Pros

    -Hands on leadership
    -Great approach to sales
-Very open to ideas, and will not belittle any idea
-Management is not a micro manager
-Company is on a growth phase, which makes it fun and challenging

Overall I was very happy with my choice, I had a few offers but ultimately went with ThoughtFocus. The salary is a little lower than the other companies, but this company value their business development rep moreso than the others (which viewed them as expendable). That alone is very respectable, as it shows that they are willing to invest in their growth asset.

    Cons

-Vacation day available is below national average.

...that's all I can think of.

    Advice to Management

N/A the VP I report to and the superboss has an open door policy and is always willing to hear my new initiatives.

    Pros

Good work experience for future jobs

    Cons

Little to no training, no communication from management, and job duties were too many for what they were paying.

I worked at ThoughtFocus full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you are a developer, there is probably a good career track. The recruitment process was quite seamless and they have document signing down to a science.

    Cons

Management is very poor. After I started, my manager left for India for a month and when he returned, did very little to support or assist me. In addition, the insurance is very expensive and there was NO official employee manual. I have over 25 years of experience, much of it in consulting, and I felt the direction was poor. I can't even imagine how someone new would enjoy the atmosphere.

    Advice to Management

Stop misleading the folks that work for you.
