I worked at ThousandEyes full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Want to be a part of a company that's actually solving tough problems for applications and services that many of us use on a daily basis? Look into joining the talented pool of employees at ThousandEyes.
The company has evolved tremendously over the last few years -- the revenues continue to go up and to the right as they add house-hold logos as their customers, they have an incredible knack for being fiscally responsible (i.e. don't waste $) and the management team is on the same page for the most part.

    Cons

Company has plenty of perks, but needs to ensure 'culture' doesn't dwindle across their various office locations.

    Advice to Management

Continue investing in employees' growth. Offer a forum of receiving honest feedback.

I have been working at ThousandEyes full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great engineering culture, trying to not get stuck in old school tools or methodologies, always improving, always adapting to the state of the art and using cutting edge technology. Fantastic mindset and always open to changes, this make ThousandEyes engineering be prepare for an upcoming big growth keeping their high standards in reliability, efficiency, quality and stability.

    Cons

The company is growing fast and the need of engineers is high, finding them is not easy, and sometimes, that's making the current employees to have too much work to do.

Also i would like to have more variety in the catering we get for lunch :)

I have been working at ThousandEyes full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Awesome Coworkers. Everyone is friendly, supportive, intelligent and fun to be around.
    - High standard of code quality. A lot of effort is made to keep the code base clear and easy to maintain.
    - Interesting product. The technology that we're developing is pretty cool and it has been exciting to watch it evolve.
    - Growth. The company has a solid list of customers and is continuing to gain more and more momentum everyday.
    - Supportive work environment. The company is supportive of the needs and personal growth of their employees and makes an effort to make sure everyone is happy and taken care of. There is a system of communication in place so you can relay any troubles your having to someone higher up.

    Cons

It's difficult to think of cons. Anything I can think of is a very minor complaint.

    - The onboarding process can be slightly improved, but in general is fine due to everyone being willing to help and answer any questions.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. Seems to be working great!

I have been working at ThousandEyes full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The culture at ThousandEyes is something really special. It's a culture of excellence without egos. Everyone at the company is motivated and top-notch, without exception, but everyone is also accessible, helpful, and open to feedback, without exception.

As an engineer, I also find the product really cool and fun to work on. It's really technically challenging, and it's rewarding to know the software we write is actually what the company is selling. So anything we do to improve the product or the user experience is really valued by the company and the users.

    Cons

Even though I feel good about doing some small part to keep the Internet up and running, it's not always easy to show off my work! The product is quite technical, so it's not that easy to explain to people. But, like all ThousandEyes employees, I don't have a big ego, so that doesn't really bother me. ;) I find the work environment much more important to my happiness.

I have been working at ThousandEyes full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Leadership team has both smarts and experience. Company is chock-full of bright people that challenge the status quo, and possess real technology chops, raising the bar for everyone. Culture of transparency, innovation, and fun help a lot. A good dose of company-sponsored events integrates a healthy social mix into the equation. Excellent office/location in SF, and keeping that up in new locations in Austin, NYC and London.

    Cons

Company growing at a good pace, so some processes still being built out. Desire to vet for talent and culture fit, results in more thorough interview process. Not for people that aren't passionate about technology or analytical in nature.

    Advice to Management

Continue strong focus on growth and culture.

We have passionate customers with superpowers. Passionate employees and great leadership. People are funny and collaborative, but serious about the product and execution.

    Cons

Like many start-ups we move fast but gaps in process can slow you down.

    Advice to Management

Keep Hiring the best and brightest. Keep communication consistent.
