    Pros

Free coffee, oatmeal, granola bars and company incentives

    Cons

Training was a joke and pay leaves a lot to be desired. Management is hit or miss.

    Advice to Management

Training! Employee incentives are great but there wasn't nearly enough or appropriate training for the job.

I worked at ThreatTrack Security (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great location and no dress code

    Cons

Horrible company culture, no room for growth or advancement. Every other year or so a new CEO is brought in and they go through a massive layoff to avoid having to give annual raises. Those that are left, are overworked, underpaid and afraid that they will be one of the next to be let go. Run away.......this place is a sinking ship. John Lyons is no longer the CEO and he's been replaced with an out of touch and obnoxious piece of work who only worries about lining his pockets.

    Pros

Interesting projects and good people. The technology was interesting and challenging.

    Cons

The company did not do a good job of marketing a pretty good product

    Advice to Management

There have been far too many layoffs over the years even when the message to the employees is that things are going well.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

    Nice engineering team. Good location.

    Cons

A sinking ship. In the past two years or more, the company has been trying to build a killer app for cyber-security. Its products do have many better features than existing solutions, but the company suffers from weak leadership, messy management, lousy marketing and sales team. The moral is low and gets lower after several rounds of serious layoffs. The management let go the best engineers and kept the not-so-good sales/marketing people to sell the not-so-good products. I can't see the future of this company.

    Advice to Management

Have a true vision and not driven only by book.

    Positive Outlook

    Pros

There was good camaraderie among the technical support team and people generally seemed willing to help each other. The management team doesn't micromanage and they back up their employees if any problems arise with customers.

    Cons

The opportunities for internal advancement are extremely limited, almost regardless of the employee's performance. People who work in tech support for a long time often don't get consideration for other positions in the company.

    Advice to Management

Make an effort to develop your employees, even ones in the lower end of the company. This would be a benefit to management too because the tech support staff often know the company's products extremely well and understand how the end users interact with them.

I have been working at ThreatTrack Security full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

No expectation to work more than 40 hours; Relaxed work environment; Most co-workers are pleasant and understanding; Good cross-department communication; Nice, new office with comfortable chairs; Great HR staff

    Cons

Exceedingly difficult to get a promotion; Meager annual raises despite "Excellent" performance reviews; Company matches 401(k) at 1/4 employee contribution up to 6% (meaning if the employee contributes 6% of pay, company matches 1.25%); 4.5-foot cube walls (would prefer 6 to block more sound); Not trusted to work from home on a regular basis (but it is acceptable once in a while)

    Advice to Management

Please stop being so stingy with raises. Getting a 3% raise for a stellar performance review is a slap in the face.
