    Pros

The small office environment allows the opportunity to engage in functions that may not be organic/standard to your actual position, but build on your skill set.

    Cons

Salary is much less than your market value (thousands of dollars less) and your benefits do not compensate for the salary deficit. Career advancement is difficult.

    Pros

Nothing to note for this company.

    Cons

The company values experience over education. If you have a college degree, watch out for this company, big waste of time here!!!

    Advice to Management

Ten years on a job doesn’t make you as smart as an engineer.

I have been working at ThyssenKrupp Materials full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    In general people are nice.

    Cons

Too much stupid team activity - this is not elementary school. Not fair promotion, anyone who applied and liked by management who like to do stupid team building activities and young, you get the position.

    Advice to Management

I don't think you understand what the business is and work is. Instead of spending money and time for stupid team building activities, and limit Over time, why don't you have employees be more productive? And salaries are too low for Aerospace. Nothing changes for last 7 years.

    Pros

I wish there was a pro to this.

    Cons

The company is only interested in money and there is no loyalty. I worked there for Eighten years and closed one of there best divisions over money. If you are looking for advancement just say yes.

    Advice to Management

I was a manager here and lying to the Corporate Managers is how you survive.

I have been working at ThyssenKrupp Materials full-time

    Pros

The people are generally very positive and very helpful. Though not everyone loves one another, there is generally a team atmosphere with people willing to help out.

    Cons

Changing priorities and direction constantly, conflict between corporate and regional direction, consistently pulled in different directions, often work that was performed over years and months is thrown out completely when management decides to move in a new direction, a lot of micro management, very little stability, often a lack in clarity in what you should be doing

    Advice to Management

Stop changing directions, create business plans with cost and benefit analysis and share them, allow employees to own their position and responsibilities, when projects / plans change and hard work is thrown out, at least acknowledge the work and go through a presentation on all the positive outcomes of the project to make employees feel like they are not wasting their time

    Pros

Absolutely nothing good about this company.

    Advice to Management

Build a management training program. COACH your management team. COACH employees; reprimanding is inappropriate. Develop procedures for day to day activities and make an employee handbook. Ensure that handbook is readily available to employees. Build an HR Dept and make it readily available to ALL employees. Stop hiring criminals. Develop better hiring requirements for management and leadership level positions.
