    Pros

    Very intelligent driven leadership that empowers teams to be autonomous.
    Big investments in building the leadership of the people on the teams.
    Team members are trusted.
    New ideas are welcomed.
    There is nary a book that you mention that someone else in the organization has not read and implemented.
    CONCERTS!!!!
    Well structured career ladders.
    Many learning opportunities throughout the organization.
    Leaders take responsibility for their mistakes, and big mistakes are worn as a badge of pride, because of the mobilization and next steps that were taken to fix them, this is how we learn.

    Cons

    If you are someone who is used to performing poorly and getting away with it -- that doesn't happen here. The dynamics of the team are esteemed above being liked. The values of the company are used in making tough and sometimes unpopular decisions.

    Advice to Management

    Keep trusting your people and continue your investment strategy -- its amazing the creativity that comes from it!

    Pros

    -work/life balance
    -managers want you to do well
    -encourage you to bring new ideas to the table

    Cons

    -it's located on the walk of fame, so walking home late at night can be a little sketchy
    -you have to pay for parking (and get reimbursed)

    Pros

    Fabulous place to work! Great benefits and opportunity for growth.

    Cons

    I wouldn't say this is a "con", but an area for improvement... Managers are too busy to train staff. Could work on setting time for those transitioning into a new position.

    I have been working at Ticketmaster as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    The team that I worked with kept me occupied with enough projects from the get go. There was never a time during my internship I didn't have any projects to work on. The projects involved working on the Open APIs which would have not happened in any other company.

    I would suggest that if you show the interest you'll find a lot of projects to take ownership of in the company.

    Cons

    They are pretty stingy in the benefits area but the quality of the work outweigh them. When I started my internship the only thing free was coffee and tea. In three-months now we have free soda, free juice and a lot of changes happening in that area with time.

    Pros

    The focus on technology and open processes has changed greatly in the past 2 years. Especially with the senior management leaderships improvement during that time, dev teams have a great sense of direction and motivation. Engineers are able to focus on delivering products.

    Cons

    Some touchy legacy infrastructure that causes problems at times, but leadership is pushing hard to get all systems out to greenfield opportunities

    Advice to Management

    Continue investing in the top talent within the company. Let the engineers feel what difference they're making by providing what impact their products are making.

    They are moving forward in technology very quickly. Easy approachable management to suggest changes and improvements.
    Flexible timings and WFH options
    Socials once in a while - Beer served on a few fridays.

    Cons

    HR dept is super slow

    Pros

    Fun and forward thinking company to work for. The benefits are great if you use them. Good PTO policy as well.

    Cons

    Additional hours/OT is often required in various positions due to the real-time nature of the live entertainment industry. Much of the work is done remotely so face-time can become scarce.

    Advice to Management

    Keep staff involved in the communication channels above their responsibilities. Everyone feels safer when they are informed as to what is going on with the company.

    I have been working at Ticketmaster (More than a year)

    Pros

    It's a big multinational company & a great brand. It's the king of the hill in ticketing.

    Cons

    Tm operates in many countries and I'm sure the atmosphere in each would be different. In The UAE office however, it was too overwhelmingly stressful and not well controlled by senior management - could be due to the fact that it's a new & not yet well established market.
