    I worked at Ticketmaster full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    It's a large company on a mission to change the ethos and a huge technology stack. It's not an easy process but it's working and it's changing the way the industry exists. Being part of Live Nation, the benefits package is pretty good, especially for the entertainment industry.

    Cons

    Being such a large company, communication is sometimes difficult. The talk about a work/life balance but with client demands it's sometimes hard to achieve. Additionally, there were continued efforts to keep the tech teams on the coasts which was having problems finding labor. They seemed to ignore the rest of the country that is filled with qualified, energetic, industry people.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the efforts. It's working, but try looking at alternative places to find the team that going to push you in a new direction.

    Wonderful benefits including PTO, work/life balance, ticket perks, and most recently, getting better with defining career ladder

    Cons

    For awhile, there were very unclear guidelines on how to get promoted or what your career path was. They are getting better but bonuses have yet to be defined on who/how you get one. It's like a secret club that you are either in or out of.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to support your direct reports and RECOGNIZE. Use Spotlight, take your team out for a team lunch once in a blue moon, say thanks, set clear guidelines on how to get that promotion, etc. All these things go a long way in keeping a happy team and motivated team members

    Love the people and company culture, lots of passion for the industry and opportunity to innovate, great perks and benefits, people work hard and know how to have fun!

    Cons

    Some teams tend to work late hours so not always the best work life balance but the flexible schedules and ability to work remote balances out.
