I have been working at Tidelands Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Health benefit options are great compared to other companies in this area; although due to Obama care some things have changed negatively.

    Cons

Management/ Human resources allow majority of staff to leave a department without questioning the reason why. The cost of replacing seasoned nurses and hiring temporary travel nurses would make me wonder if the managers in place need to be looked at.

    Advice to Management

Exit interviews are a must! Wouldn't you want to know the real reasons why people leave your company? Exit interviews should be performed by HR, not the persons boss to be effective and useful.

Top of line technology for the best care of the patients. Good benefits, great salaries and good hours. Very professional and grounded facility. Compliant with Dehec, JACOH, and policies.

    Cons

Did not like working at night.

    Advice to Management

Always remember who actually has contact with and takes care of patients. Please give nurses the support they need for the best provided care of patients.

I worked at Tidelands Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Hospital is very clean, and well maintained. Close to where I lived at the time I was employed.

    Cons

Below average pay. Manage has a click with select employees who create a very intense atmosphere to work in. There isn't any team work, could be a good place to work if they'd weed out the bad seeds.

    Pros

Comparable salary for the area. They celebrate certifications, and recognize the people who want to improve their practice through advanced schooling. Shared governance. Updated electronic medical record system. Senior administration approachable. Building being updated.

    Cons

Some what stuck in the past, trying to have a more modern outlook, but needs work. Limited CNE offerings. They make it difficult for someone with an ADN to get employment there. Limited unlicensed assisting personnel leaving a larger workload for nurses.

I have been working at Tidelands Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

CEO is a visionary who is concentrating on top quality patient care and keeping the organization financially sound knowing difficult times are coming
Very advanced information systems for a community healthcare system

    Cons

Communication between management and staff is poor, information does not flow down to the line staff as it should
    Docs are overly catered to

    Advice to Management

Change out some of your managers who are not doing their job - you know who they are.
