I have been working at Tidewater Finance Company full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Dress code is slack. Paid breaks. Semi ok benefits. Room for growth and advancement as long as management likes you.

    Cons

Management expects WAY too much out of their employees for such little pay. You bust your back for minimal pay and no guarantee to bonus unless the MAJORITY of your department also does what they are supposed to do.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees better based off of their individual accomplishments.

Tidewater is great for growth opportunity. Over the years I have watched as we have added new positions and given current employees growth opportunity by posting internally. The staff is awesome and there is never a dull moment at work. -Love it here.

    Cons

Challenges are only what you make up them-none

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Management is always brainstorming as to how things can improve for the staff.

-be prepared to be thrown under the bus
    -lack of communication

I worked at Tidewater Finance Company full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Work independently, mostly quiet atmosphere, dependable coworkers. Easy job if explained to you the right simple way.

    Cons

Management micromanages it employees. . Working 8 hours in a data entry job requires some flexibility with breaks, lunches, talk time so people can refresh themselves from monotony and get the job done. Company promotes one size fits all approach. They are always hiring because a lot of people don't stay long in any department...accounting, collections, Title dept.

    Advice to Management

Follow your own rules if you expect employees to do the same. Too many rules = unhappy employees.

    Advice to Management
