I have been working at Tierra Antigua Realty full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company and owners. Have worked for 2 years now, one year on my own with minimal business. Joined a team which generated leads but splits were too high. Would recommend this to an agent that has a good client base already, but will be difficult for a new licensed agent.

    Cons

Not enough lead generating training and helping to get new agents on their feet in this business. I have been in the business for 8 years, 2 of them with TA. I like the company, but they need to supply more support to get new agents in the game. Dues are $70 per month if you sell or not.

    Advice to Management

Need to offer lead generating software for free to new agents to get started.

I have been working at Tierra Antigua Realty as a contractor (More than 5 years)

    Pros

REALTORS keep 100% of their commissions while paying a very low transaction fee. Tons of resources and free continuing education training are offered by this company. Beautiful offices, exceptional managers, innovative owners.

    Cons

Agents to not have their own office space, they work from home using the Tierra Antigua offices to meet clients, work on their documentation, print, scan, etc. This is simply the Tierra Antigua model and it is not a con for me or for the other over 800 agents who work with Tierra Antigua Realty.

    Pros

Only $375 dollars per transaction, you keep the rest. Owners who care and office staff that is there to help.

    Cons

Can't think of anything. They are the largest locally owned brokerage in Southern Arizona. Everyone is helpful and happy to be there.

    Advice to Management

More advertising. Locals know us but people new to town may not.

    Pros

Costs are low, you can run your business the way you see fit. Perfect for people who are self-starters and proactive at seeking out help.

    Cons

So many agents you can get lost in the shuffle if you don't take the time to go to the office.

    Advice to Management

More office space or a meeting place for clients south of River.

    Pros

A commission schedule to meet your current sales and marketing needs. Management is always available to assist, as well as a great administrative staff. Overall, well managed and nice people.

    Cons

Nothing as long as you are willing to participate and learn. The sky is the limit.

    Pros

Unlimited earning potential, positive work environment, great support staff, fair fees, coaching and mentoring as well as great classes for training provided often.

    Cons

You have to actually work hard to earn money. It does not just get handed to you. No other issues.

    Advice to Management

Keep kicking tail. Keep kicking tail. Keep kicking tail. Keep kicking tail. Keep kicking tail. Keep kicking tail. Keep kicking tail. Keep kicking tail.

    Pros

As a real estate agent your income is often eaten up by company splits, broker transaction fees, etc. Tierra Antigua has created a very smart business model and strives to provide industry leading programs and training to boot. I couldn't be happier in my employment.

    Cons

I'm approaching my 2nd full year with the company and my only worry early on was market presence. Was Tierra Antigua known well enough in our community; that has not been a problem.

    Advice to Management

I'm very pleased with how you're running the company. I know you take an ultra cautious approach with your agents -- disclosures well beyond the legal requirements. But, there are many agents selling 1 property a year and that doesn't always garner a profound market awareness.
