    Pros

Kept all staff employed during COVID. Offered great benefits for those who needed to stay home for childcare during these times. 360 review culture. Inclusivity/Diversity. Just to list a few.

    Cons

Technical difficulties are frequent. Could adopt a better sustainability business model in shipping/ packaging of goods and collateral.

Great co-workers but two store leaders kill morale.

    Pros

Amazing product, company history, clients, pay and resources.

    Cons

Two poor store leaders can wash away all the pros and it did. Trust is an illusion so watch your back when it comes to your store leaders.

    Unhealthiest environment

    Pros

usual benefit packages like all corporations

    Cons

you get to get stuck with a manager who is not necessarily qualified or better than you in the job, someone who can mess up with your whole existence in the company for no reason and even retaliate the personal issues on not-approving your hours, since your hours are supposed to be submitted to a manager and through the manager submitted to hr or Randstadt for you to get your check. Not to mention , in the interview they keep emphasizing that you wont ever been asked to work over time but if so , you are supposed to get paid for it as in all hourly positions, not that you get to work over time almost everyday but they never approve your hours unless you cut them out to 40 , yep ! a billionaire company !

Not the company it used to be or advertises itself to be

    Pros

Great history. Good product, and craftsmanship that one can be proud of.

    Cons

Very political. Very much like high school with cliques which likely dictate your success. Mid level management is weak and displays favoritism in most cases. Commission structure is punitive and encourages divisiveness within team. Also there is an elitist mentality where people “with money” are treated with higher regard. Whether client or employee.

    Pros

Great history and brand recognition Product is beautiful and customer service is top notch Opportunities to visit other locations for training or assistance

    Cons

Basic retail environment complaints--competitiveness, sales professionals are immature at times, "customer is always right" attitude even whey they make ridiculous claims. Stores place customers first, then sales professionals, then support staff, then management team. I do not necessarily disagree with this line of thinking but as an ASM I did not feel enough support being a last thought.

    It never ends

    Pros

The discount is worthwhile. Excellent insurance. Fun environment that attracts great people. Opportunity for growth if you can relocate or live in NYC.

    Cons

Terrible work/life environment!!! While that is expected with retail hours, what might surprise you is the work never stops! If you are off, expect to receive phone calls and texts from employees, customers and managers and expect to be readily available to help. Expect to be required to check your emails several times a day while one vacation and your day off. Sales team is exceptionally compensated which does help retain talent, however the support staff does the heavy lifting and is minimally compensated. Managements’ pay is a joke for anyone less than a Director. Bonuses are annual and based off your overall rating which is subsequently based off the overall store’s performance, not individual performance (as that portion of your review is less than 30%). This means a manager that works extremely hard could receive the same rating, raise and bonus as one that slacks off all year.

    Assistant Store Manager

    Pros

Fast paced and versatile environment with opportunity to take risks and implement new ideas while maintaining high levels of company standards. Company is progressive and forward-thinking, but maintains its reverence as one of the oldest American companies.

    Cons

Turnover can be high in retail environment, sales are also challenging in today's economy. Remaining motivated as a member of management will be difficult if you rely on monetary compensation (if you do not you will find the most rewarding experiences come from helping your employees find success).

    Pros

Company supports forward thinking and professional growth. Company training is amazing. You are trained from day one and continue throughout your career.

    Cons

Colleague resentment causes low employee morale. Human Resources should be notified by management and director to stop the colleague resentment in his/her tracks in order to protect the employee that best serves the company.
