    Advice to Management

Really glad to see Mr. Kowalski back - he drove a company culture based on being socially conscientious, having empathy, and doing the right thing.

I worked at Tiffany & Co. for more than 5 years

    Pros

The employee discounts and benefits were good. The New York corporate offices were very nice.

    Cons

Long time front line management, including HR were dishonest and unethical. Front line leaders often said horrible things about subordinates, peers and leadership. They were never held accountable for their deliberate and extremely toxic behavior. Good leaders either left or were let go. Toxic individuals continue to act one way in front of very disconnected leadership and another way in front of subordinates and peers.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of you long-time manufacturing leaders. They are toxic and do not understand how to run a manufacturing business. You are losing money and good people. Tolerating and indirectly supporting their behavior damages your brand greatly in ways that you cannot readily see at the senior levels. Quality and cost suffer greatly due to the non-professional "professionals" that you have running your front line people.

I have been working at Tiffany & Co. full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The pro is working for a strong brand name. Unfortunately this is where the major differentiating benefits stop. Looking through other Tiffany reviews, I see 2 main groups. Positive reviews that focus on the brand and seem to place more value on it than the other aspects that make a great job experience. The other group is written with a view to the other aspects of the job which seem to generate more negative reviews.

    Cons

Tiffany lacks in good leadership. This is likely related to the compensation which is lower than many companies. Internal systems are often quite archaic. It is laughable to see that store set up teams spend days sticking on pricing stickers by hand or that some departments produce their expense reports by hand since they do not have a formal expense tracking software solution. New employees enter the company with great...

    Advice to Management

Globally the management pales in comparison to other luxury brands. For this reason Tiffany continues to lag in performance in a variety of criteria. Tiffany only performs under its current management due to Tiffany's inherent brand value. The brand is the strong and the blue box is one of the most recognizable icons in luxury branding. Essentially management only needs to "not mess it up". Unfortunately while "not messing...

    Pros

Heritage, Loyalty,Tenure. In the past, it was a place that cared about its people. The HR Team was helpful.

    Cons

Read the NY Times today. The Top US Leadership has really lost its way with all the imported managers from outside.

    Advice to Management

Settle the lawsuit before the cancer spreads and kolas this great brand

I worked at Tiffany & Co. full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good benefits and compensation for management

    Cons

The Tiffany & Company that valued it's employees and heritage is a thing of the past.

    Advice to Management

The Euro Trash that you are bringing in to run the company will not fix your problems. Profitability will only be enhanced by new product offerings - rather than eliminating staff to achieve expense targets. The entire employee population is too nervous to focus on their jobs because they fear elimination.
