I worked at Tiffany & Co. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Discount, Notoriety , gym incentives, & great health insurance

    Cons

Management not on the same page. Too much turn over and not a plan to blend

    Advice to Management

This company is top heavy & they are even making cuts in management. Communication is awful. It's the iconic Tiffany & Co. but this location treats their colleagues in a poor manner. Management is not transparent. The turn over rate is high and no team mentality.

    Advice to Management

    stress communication to your staff!!!!!

    I worked at Tiffany & Co. full-time

    Pros

    - beautiful jewelry
    - fun co-workers
    - decent benefits

    Cons

    - the individual commission system brings out the absolute worst in the sales team: agression, manipulation, greed...
    - you are a number, judged based on how much you sell. That's all that counts. Who cares about quality customer service, as long as you are selling.

    Advice to Management

    Switch to a group commission

I have been working at Tiffany & Co. full-time

    Pros

They try to help with work life balance. For example there is a free yoga twice a week (to be discontinued in July 2017). Most depts are accommodating about doctors appointments etc. But expect to make up the hours and work.

    Cons

Best word to describe corporate culture is fake. People are nice and polite. That's it. They are not generally intelligent about the approach to work and much time is wasted on top toeing around management. The focus is not on sales generating work. Instead you are expected to spend time sugar coating and finding new ways of calling bad performance (individuals and company sales) "soft" or "presenting a lot of opportunity for improvement." However, things take decades to change because of the general resistance to change. There was a CEO who advocated change and under him, many radical new concepts were implemented, such as the Lady Gaga campaign. But he was ousted the day the Superbowl ad came out. So go in figure.

    Advice to Management

Tiffany will merely continue to survive by resting on its historical laurels. But nothing will truly change for the better unless you replace the heads in Merchandising. They are stagnant and rule the division with a tyrannical feel, albeit cloaked in the most polite of words. Wolf in sheep's clothing that are only out to push personal agendas. Rethink everything. Or you will continue to see the unprecedented turnover.

I worked at Tiffany & Co. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

learn how to clean jewelry, small employee discount, nice compensation package

    Cons

The operations staff is completely different from the sales staff. With that said, from my experience, the operations staff is unruly and it seemed like management did not have it together. As a result, the staff ran many of the managers. I expected more from Tiffany. However, it was like working for an organization that caters to recently rehabilitated inmates. Now, I don't like anything from Tiffany's. It was the worst job I've ever had.

I have been working at Tiffany & Co. full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great people and good quality product

    Cons

Senior Management do not understand retail and are slow to react in a fast changing retail environment. Not enough product to support the number of stores across the company. Unreal expectations for store management especially in the areas of appearance and client outreach. No support for stores to grow business with high ROI goals.

    Advice to Management

Used to be a great company to work for, but has lost its way and is not competitive in the marketplace.
